This is one of the best courses in the area, in terms of layout, it has everything; short, long, doglegs, uphill, downhill, water. Unfortunately the course doesn't seem to get the care required, very poor greens, rarely used irrigation system, lack of sand in the bunkers to name a few issues. One of the more enjoyable layouts in the area but desperately needs some TLC.

The course was shocking !!! About two feet of grass around the based of trees. The tees had been cut but grass left all over them. The greens where very slow and soft having to hit even 3 feet putts very hard to keep on line and get to hole. The course felt very much like it was a municipal. Before going out the person in shop told us the course was in great condition well if this great i wouldn't like to see it in bad condition!

Coures was very poor and untidy. The greens need a lot of work doing to them as there are a lot bare patches ,very slow and bobby. On the plus side they do have a great driving range and shop with a lot of stock in ,very helpful staff

i played on the 17th of April 2014. The green where the worse green that i have ever played on especially for the time of year. They were patchy, very soft, bobbly and the heights of the grass were all over the place. the tees are uneven making it very hard to get a flat lay on the tee box.

It's OK because all the rain we have had off the fairway it was very soft the course is flat but with some interesting holes will play again when a bit dryer.

Well worth a visit

I have played this course quite a few times now, it plays better Spring/Summer/Autumn, quite boggy in winter. Has a driving range for a warm up. The course itself is pretty straight forward, parkland design. In summer take advantage of twilight golf £15 after 4pm, although the bar won't be open when you finish.

The course was very wet (standing water on a couple of greens and many of the fairways). I would recommend the course if/when dry but there is better value for money to be had in the area (Clays and Llanymynech to name 2).
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great value.

Enjoyable course

Plenty of variation in the holes. Good balance of tricky and 'easier' holes.
Greens in good condition.
Some bunkers were a bit too compact.

Nice course

Interesting layout means you have to think about what you're doing and makes this a nice test.
Greens were firm and a little bit slow but were very true. Bunkers need a little more sand in them.
That apart the course was in great condition and i really enjoyed it,
