What the club says: Designed by James Braid and home of Ryder Cup Captains Ian Woosnam and Harry Weetman, Oswestry Golf Club is a mature parkland course, renowned for its excellent all year round condition and friendly welcome. Set in the glorious Shropshire countryside, yet close to major transport networks, Aston Park is a truly special place to play golf. Alongside the quality golf course we have a splendid new clubhouse combining the best of a traditional golf club atmosphere and welcome with all the modern facilities demanded by today's golfers.

A very good course, that warrants more attention due to its great layout and fantastic condition.
On the longest day of the year and probably the hottest, the course was in fantastic condition. Fairways quite wide but position off the tee was everything. Greens fast and true which made putting a pleasure with no unexpected deviations. Some bunkers had an awful lot of sand in them, probably recent maintenance, which made getting any distance control really hard. The clubhouse was lovely and even a small society of 8 was made to feel welcome. This one should be in your "must try" list!
