Totally bang on challenging & thinkg golfers course
Could say a bad thing about this course... food good... shop good plus had a sale on... course difficult but rewrdingnin places... couldnt understand why 15th ws on temp green and 16th closed as theysaid they were working on bunkers but like the councils no one was there... other than that.. go give a it a try..(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 92 Handicap: 22.9)

Beautiful lush course, very nicely set out in the wooded Leicestershire countryside. Great mix of holes and a joy to play. Beware, there are no specific tee times but there is a ball chute hidden in a bush next to the first tee. Make sure you get a ball in there to get in the queue as members will nip in before you. Lots of older members in large groups so play isn't lightening fast but not too bad.

Very nice course lovely day my golf play didn't match the course or the day we had , and a bad round of golf is still better than a good at work

Difficult to give an accurate review as bound to be slightly negative as it was minus two when set off , reaching a tropical 1 degree by tee off . Started on the tenth as pro said not an official time when you book. Course fine apart from 15th being on temp green and number 16 totally shut (the pro didn't bother telling us this..)

The pro was very friendly and helpful. I was able to join up with one of the members which was convenient to show me around the course. The tees were in good condition (bar a couple that don't get much sun, the fairways were very lush and green. The greens looked a bit slow, but actually had a nice pace, some greens had been spiked but still putted reasonably well. As the course was soft it played quite long, many holes have trees along the hole and there are a couple of nice dog leg holes as well as so good changes in elevation.

The course has a lovely front 9, twisty and well maintained but the back nine was a little up and down with only 2 holes having good character or features. Enjoyable course but the service in the bar was poor. The staff may have been out the back but we waited over 5 minutes before anyone came to the bar, then received no apology and a snappy sharp attitude. Maybe we got unlucky but we were not impressed and while we may return to the course, we\'ll use a local pub for after round drinks. Shame.
