Rude members
I and my friend played here on Friday. There was a female members match so the final fourball were teeing off before us. No problem for us but two of the ladies told us that as we were not members, we were unable to play through. We had not said a word to them and I found this very rude indeed.The game was very slow as they were not the greatest but were all like that. When we reached the tenth tee, three of the ladies had gone for coffee so our group and two groups behind, had to wait for them to return. Absolute joke.
As captain of our golf society, I was happy to choose Huntswood for our next outing. 20 players, breakfast golf and lunch followed by a few beers. This club could have earned several hundred pounds, midweek in autumn but because of the rudeness of their lady members, that will never happen. All clubs need non members to subsidise their turnover and should not forget this.
Their members should also realise this.

Played here a few times. Course in lovely surroundings with a nice clubhouse. However given that we had 2 weeks of nice weather the course appeared neglected and looked unkept. Poor tees with many divots not filled, fairways and greens not cut with the holes seemingly not having been moved for a long time. At this time of year courses need a lot of work on them to bring them up to a decent playing standard. It would appear that there are only 2 greenkeeping staff looking after this course which is probably part of the problem. With many golfers now abandoning the game, golf courses need to up their game and present their course in the best condition in order to stay in business. Suffice to say that our small society of 6 golfers will not be returning soon. Played 9th April 2015.

Played here after a friend got a good deal on Groupon course was better than expected and greens were very good for a public course. Course layout is a bit confusing we spent lots of time looking for the next hole. Staff in bar and shop were nice and friendly but a guy in buggy decided to follow us round for first few holes, got the impression he was checking up on us and he made a few comments about bad shots etc, I've never had this at any other course and it made us feel unwelcome.

Huntswood
At 5,233 yards from the yellows this isn't the longest course around, but there are enough tight fairways and small greens to make sure that it'll score a little longer than that.When I played it today the greens and tees were decent enough, the fairways were dry and hard, and there's a very pleasant clubhouse.
This is a decent enough course that's worth a visit.

Testing little course
May only be a par 69 but it's quite narrow in places and lots of out-of-bounds mean you can easily rack up some big numbers. Accuracy over distance is key on this course.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 85 Handicap: 25.5)

Bring your hiking boots
A lovely little course with a good variety of holes. But be prepared for long walks between each hole. If you find yourself on a tee box seconds after finishing the previous hole, look again. You will almost certainly be on the wrong tee box.Reviewer Rating

Not the longest or most enjoyable course to play. Practice facilities aren't good, could do with some driving nets or chop down a load of trees and build a small driving range. Clubhouse good as was the food. Will I return to play, probably not.

Friendly place, lots of variety.

Played here for the second time this summer. Sunday afternoon round was £11pp. Remarkably good value for a scenic and well presented, if short, course. Only one par 5, the 18th and a long stretch of back to back par 4s in the middle make it a little monotonous for a stretch but all in an enjoyable course to play, especially if like me you are in need of practice on a course that presents a challenge but won't beat you up mentally and physically. Pro shop was closed at 4pm on a Sunday which was a slight disappointment but not the end of the world. Friendly staff in the clubhouse and a relaxed atmosphere make this a course anyone can feel welcome playing.

Great days golf, fairways were still very brown after months of sunshine, greens were firm and not holding shots at the flag which is probably also due to the extended dry summer, so a lot of shots running out of the back of the green. Greens were smooth and ran true.
