Much underrated course

Social distancing worked well, course in great condition overall. Rough was medium high in places. Greens a bit slow. A marshall greeted us in the car park to check our tee time and advise us to wait in the car park until 5 minutes before tee off. Hole cups were turned over so the holes were shallow and you can easily pick your ball out. Generally it was just 2 balls every 10 minutes so pace of play was reasonably quick, only held up a couple of times.

Golf day

Course wet and very windy greens were very slow due to weather conditions the par 3 were great the par 5 were not over long but very enjoyable the fairways were very wet

Testing course in good condition

Played Horton Park Millenium course for the first time and was impressed. We were greeted by a staff member in the clubhouse who explained how the GPS system on the buggy works - this shows on a screen inside the buggy how to find the next tee which is useful as otherwise the course layout gets a bit confusing. The screen also shows a map of each hole and current yardage to the front and back of the green from any point on the hole. The course conditions were generally good and the course requires a lot of thought. The fairways are tight with trees located in such a position that a slightly off line tee shot will block out the approach shot to the green. Stand out holes are the island par 3 10th and the long uphill par 3 9th and 18th, both of which require drives over the lake. I’ll definitely be back soon to see if I can improve on my score!

Golf comp

Windy but sunny day greens were very fast but true fairways were very dry so we had a better run on our drives the 10th over 5he water is a very good hole with the tree being there to trap you.
Great fun

Horton Revived!

So many good and improved facilities at Horton - new club house, buggies, brilliantly new interactive driving range, alongside a real professional feel to all staffing roles. Played the course yesterday and, despite the recent hot period, greens were in excellent condition and tee boxes clearly cared for.
Pleasingly all the recent investment is paying off so that Horton can now establish a reputation they deserve.

Small greens but good course

Really well kept and enjoyable course. Staff were very friendly and plenty holes that offered a challenge. The 10th is definitely a tricky club selection

A course for all the family

Fantastic state of the art driving range, well tended 18 hole course, small 9 hole as well as a new bar/restaurant and a great crazy golf. Great place to come with the family.

Good course

Mostly very good conditions, apart from one or two muddy bits, but not on the fairways or greens which were playing well but fast.
Too expensive for seniors though!!
