What the club says: Leatherhead Golf Club, which celebrated its centenary in 2003 is a fine example of a mature Surrey Parkland Golf Course. Ancient oak trees line the fairways whilst the greens which are well guarded and subtly contoured are regarded as being amongst the best in Surrey. Leatherhead Golf Club has hosted PGA events and is a regular venue for Surrey County fixtures. The course is peaceful, yet easily accessible, being 10 minutes from the A3 and 5 minutes from Junction 9 of the M25.

Great layout but condition needs work
I play at Leatherhead 3 or 4 times a year. It's a great layout, very varied, and the changes to the course made necessary by the building of the M25 now look very mature and natural. Very well designed and with real challenge the layout is excellent. But the conditioning was not great; fairways are bumpy and patchy, so inconsistent that we played preferred lies in our group even though it was mid May. Greens were inconsistent, ranging from slow to very slow. With a cut and roll they would have been great but it looked like they hadn't been cut for 5 or 6 days.Reviewer Rating

I was very disappointed to pay ?40 for a round without being informed that that the course is undergoing extensive improvement/maintenance works.Front nine has more interest with longer par 4?s but very uneven & muddy fairways.Greens slow. All round a forgettable experience.Reviewer Rating

The Full Let Down
£40 pp would be a fair price if the course was in proper nick but having driven 90 mins to get there, & no prior warning was given, we found much of the course sodden, & worn more akin to what you might expect in mid winter, there was plenty of work going on around the course, temporary tees, a reduced hole from par 4 to 3, compacted sand in the bunkers, a grass tee where the grass was higher than the ball on the tee, & at least one green that was heavily sanded. V disappointed that the full rate was charged & would have come back in high summer if we had been pre warned.Reviewer Rating

Attractive course - but noisy!
An attractive course with varied holes however it is very close to the M25 and the bucolic scene is somewhat tarnished by the noise. We were also disappointed to find a temporary green without any note on the website or being told on arrival. Greens, fairways and tees in great condition.Reviewer Rating
