Really good challenge. Front 9 is long with a good drive required to reach some fair fairways. Back 9 is shorter but more interesting. Course had suffered with the wet weather and was closed the previous day. Nonetheless, fairways were good although there was some surface water which can’t be helped bearing in mind the deluges this week. Greens were true and I can imagine will get faster once it dries out. Clubhouse has a really comfortable feel, good breakfast and the staff were really friendly.

Would definitely play again.

I was very disappointed to pay ?40 for a round without being informed that that the course is undergoing extensive improvement/maintenance works.Front nine has more interest with longer par 4?s but very uneven & muddy fairways.Greens slow. All round a forgettable experience.

The Full Let Down

£40 pp would be a fair price if the course was in proper nick but having driven 90 mins to get there, & no prior warning was given, we found much of the course sodden, & worn more akin to what you might expect in mid winter, there was plenty of work going on around the course, temporary tees, a reduced hole from par 4 to 3, compacted sand in the bunkers, a grass tee where the grass was higher than the ball on the tee, & at least one green that was heavily sanded. V disappointed that the full rate was charged & would have come back in high summer if we had been pre warned.

Attractive course - but noisy!

An attractive course with varied holes however it is very close to the M25 and the bucolic scene is somewhat tarnished by the noise. We were also disappointed to find a temporary green without any note on the website or being told on arrival. Greens, fairways and tees in great condition.

Good old style course that runs out of steam a bit

Leatherhead is an enjoyable course to play. The first 11 or 12 holes are great, part of the original old course but the last few holes feel and play differently, due to having to be built after holes were lost for the construction of the M25. The par 3 holes are tough, the par 5 holes are very playable. It is tight off the tee and there are a number of very short par 4 holes that tempt you to get the driver out and play very much as risk reward holes. Like all courses at the moment, it is very dry. The greens were a bit slow and could do with a cut but it is an enjoyable course and good value at £25 with a county card.

Challenging but a great course

Course in good condition. Greens running reasonably fast. There?s some real challenging holes on this course, not least the 440 yds off the yellows at SI 14 (it's a par 5 off the whites). None of the Par 3?s are an easy take, which makes for challenging but great course.

Good standard course

Well designed parkland course - interesting mix of holes, notably the short par 4s and long par 3s. Greens had recently had sand put on them but were still fairly fast and true. Fairways dry and quite pock-marked but played pretty well, bunkers were good quality. The ditches and trees make for plenty of hazards. Nice facilities. Only downside was the inconsiderate green staff who were unwilling to pause what they were doing to let us play, keeping on driving their machines on the green without acknowledging our presence even when we were trying to putt (particularly silly as it was a quiet Monday with hardly any other golfers around).

Challenging course, slow play

The course is penal when off line. Freshly sanded greens were slow. Suits skilled players rather than occasional players. We had long waits each hole because of poor quality golfers. I shall be back!

I think an underrated course. Plenty of parking, a large and well appointed clubhouse and great practice facilities. The course was in very good condition and the greens were firm but slow.. A good challenge for all abilities with a great variety of interesting holes.

Mud bath

Our 4 ball trolleys were caked in mud even before we got to the 1st green. I had a small wheel on the front of my trolley and it was so clogged up that I had to push it for the whole round on the two main wheels and even these needed frequently cleaning. To add ? insult to injury ? the shoe and trolley cleaning equipment wasn't working.
It is a very nice and interesting course that we have played in the past but not in the winter. I don't think we will be back until the summer .
