Go elsewhere.

If you think something is too good to be true, it probably is. Lesson learnt. Approach shot got plugged in the green, fairways were swamps resulting in balls lost in the middle of the fairway. Save your money and play elsewhere.

Poor

Played here this morning. The fairways and green approaches are extremely boggy. Some of the greens were even squelching under foot. There has rain lately but nothing out of the ordinary. I play a lot of golf and this course was one of the worst for conditions that I have played of late. The firts cut was 6 inches long which even resulted in the loss of a couple of balls, these should of been easily found. This course needs work, and a lot of it. I paid for 18 and left after 9. Wont be back anytime soon. Shame. If you want to have a cheap round go here, if you want a nice round which decent conditions, look elsewhere

In awful condition and hugely overpriced

Course in terrible condition with huge cracks opening up on most fairways, approaches to green rock solid and huge divots on both tee boxes and the fairways. Such a shame as the club has so much potential with a lovely clubhouse, excellent practice facilities with a modern range (with toptracer) but is let down badly by the course layout and condition. Pace of pay can be very slow at times and there appears to be a lack of dress code on the course which I am personally not a fan of.

Horrific condition

The course never should have been open today after all the rain we had. Most of the fairways and greens waterlogged and in poor condition. They should ban trolleys as they are cutting up the course. It seems like they only kept it open to make a bit of money. The course itself is poor and not memorable at all. The "island" green is only an island because a small channel of water runs around the back of it. Practice facilities are ok but expensive for a bucket of balls

The club let’s itself down badly with a lack of on course etiquette

The course itself is well maintained & a real challenge for a high handicapper. However on more than one occasion the whole experience has been spoiled by the complete lack of golfing etiquette that is evident here. First & foremost an entire lack of any form of dress code - Football shirts & jeans on show is not going to make regular players want to come back.

The pace of play particularly today was awful with a four ball heading out in front of us that had clearly never played properly before. They whizzed in front of other people teeing off without a thought or care & at no time offered to let us play through. As a result the front nine took 2 3/4 hours before, thankfully, they went off for some refreshments and we skipped ahead.

There is never any sign of anyone on course & frankly at £33 per person this offers far less value for money than somewhere like the Oaks which doesn’t appear to suffer from the same problems. A little bit of pride needs to be taken by the people that run this place if they want actual golfers to continue turning up rather than non players in jeans looking for an afternoon hack around.

I've played this course for many years, thankfully once a year and all I can say is that it gets worse and worse each time. How they can charge people to play this course is beyond me. The mud on every hole was ridiculous and it took an age to clean my shoes, bag, trolley etc...and to make matters worse they have an inoperable air jet cleaner. if you have a course totally and utterly swamped in mud have the facilities to allow your customers to clean their gear. If you love your golf do yourself a favour and avoid, plenty of other courses locally that nock spots off this goat track. Only being honest but the truth hurts.

Lousy hackfest course, with swimming pools for bunkers. A lot of very boring holes with some bordering on ridiculous (i.e. one by road). Far better courses around for money (i.e. Hersham which is a nice pay and play). Would rather give up golf than be subjected to another round here

The course was in poor condition. The fairways were not cut and the greens hollowtimed. To charge full price for visitors was a bit much for a course in poor condition.

Better than its reputation

Decent course much better as it is maturing, greens much improved...fairways need tidying
