What The Club Says
Unusual in the realms of golf is that Epsom has only two bunkers and they can both be found on the last hole, trusting that you manage to avoid the hedgerow that straddles much of the fairway in front of the green. From parts of the course superb views of London can be seen. Epsom offers an unusual golfing challenge. Though not a long course, it harbours many perils for the unprepared golfer with its mixture of tight holes, undulating fairways and greens which test even the smoothest strokers of the ball. Indeed in a recent tournament no professionals from a field of 48 beat par. Epsom also features a good range of facilities including a practice area with nets and a putting green, bars, catering facilities and trolleys for that walk round the course.

Arrived expecting much better considering it costs £50, which is comparable to many fantastic courses south of London. The layout was extremely confusing, made harder by the fact there was no signage or directions to tee boxes. This would usually not be a problem, however many of the holes zig-zag over others and make it difficult to know where to go next. Every green was extremely sloped and pin positions were borderline illegal. It rates easy on MyEG with a low slope rating, despite how tight the course is + the long rough and dead areas. There are multiple holes where people are able to jump on the course from parking their cars near the race-track, albeit slowing down everyone else. One of the worst golfing experiences I've had in the UK, would not recommend to anyone!Reviewer Rating

All year round golf
Although not a long course, Epsom Golf course has been strategically arranged to suit every level of golfer. The main course defence is its greens - many little slopes and surprisingly quick. The course is "always open". It drains so well that even in the worst weather conditions, you can usually play. The clubhouse/bar offers decent, well priced cooked food and snacks and the staff are always friendly. The building has enough age to give it some gravitas, without appearing backward. Its also exceedingly well priced. Love everything about it!Reviewer Rating

Budget course
Barely a golf course, no bunkers, no water. It’s cheap though. Greens are the only good point, everything else is v shabby.Reviewer Rating

Iconic downland course
Excellent, friendly clubhouse and very helpful pro shop. Course is great; its difficult with some tricky greens but in superb condition - and its always dry! Great views from the top and for race goers there's Epsom racecourse to admire.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Really good course in the shadow of Epsom race course. Some challenging holes make you think on strategy. Funny quirk is that there is only one bunker on the course.Reviewer Rating
