Budget course
Barely a golf course, no bunkers, no water. It’s cheap though. Greens are the only good point, everything else is v shabby.Reviewer Rating

I won't be coming back to this course the greens are just too damn difficult for an average golfer. Very hard and fast and with more tiers than necessary. Feel that good shots are not rewarded I putted for birdie on 3 occasions and ended up not even scoring on the hole aka 4 putting. 
There are also some busy roads running adjacent to the course which is not ideal in my book of a relaxing day out. Course's condition is good but the greens are a nightmare.

Greens just too difficult for me. Tee to green providing you keep out the rough is not too bad but keeping the ball on the greens and then putting was simply just too difficult for me.

Not a bad course, up on the Downs, so very windy. Drive to the middle of the fairway and often your ball will still roll into the light rough. Difficult sloping greens. First time I have played here and twice I was walking round trying to find the next tee. No course map or hole guide on your scorecard, bit of guessing needed when you can't see the green. Groups of members in front and behind us were very unfriendly as were the pro shop staff.

it's a long walk up hill from epsom. station. The course is enjoyable except for 2 holes next to the road. If you have tendency to hook, get insurance before you play. There are 3 holes that cross at one point. Not an issue, but worth knowing.

Interesting
No rain so very hard bounces on sloping fairways make it very tricky, greens are large & brutal but in great condition, very individual course when accuracy is important, lots of iron play & for me a course that needs playing a couple of times to get a grip with it.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 105 Handicap: 16.1)

Tough Greens
A great course if you want to challenge your putting. Some of the fastest greens you wil play on with Augusta like swings.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 24)

Tidy

Tough coarse for a high handicappers like myself. The greens are inconsistent. Some fast some slow. Also some greens very close to roads, meaning accuracy paramount. a few holes where fairways cross each other or have to walk across fairways to get to tee box's. I played on a quiet day, so not really a problem. But when busy could mean waiting to play your shot. Other golfers on the coarse were friendly and very understanding and patient towards a struggling golfer like myself. Will play there again.

Quirky course in nice surroundings
Quirky, short course in pleasant surroundings on Epsom Downs. Went round with my irons and never needed to use a wood. Course is fitted into quite a tight area so you cross fairways a few times and also need to cross back and forth across local roads. Several greens were under maintenance when I played so were covered in grass seed. The others were fast, bumpy and sloped so quite a combination! The hedge on the last hole is another curious feature. Would not like to play here every week but as a one-off visit it was an enjoyable challenge.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 95 Handicap: 21.9)

A good challenge
The course may not seem to be too difficult but the green can be very quick and difficult. You have to put well to get a good score round this course.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: 22.3)

A course that copes well in the wet as it winds around Epsom Downs, across several roads towards the Race Course grandstand and back again. As it is fairly high with great views over London, it can be very windy up there. A members club which the public can get on at a price!
If you are slightly off line off the tee it can be a bit of struggle and in the two or three rounds I've played recently I've struggled to break 30 stapleford points.

Great option for a dry round if rain has been heavy. Great drainage. Some amazing views and friendly staff.

bit of a weird course. almost as if they have tried to fit too many holes in not enough space with several par 4's under 300 yards and some only placed trees in the middles of fairways! however the greens were in pretty good condition and relatively quick but extremely challenging! was almost like putting on a camels back, some of the biggest undulations I've ever seen! a good test for the putting (somehowIi didn't manage to 3 putt 1 green!) a good little challenge but not sure I'd play again.

Amazing Views
Fairways a bit dry but Epsom downs is on chalk so it rain runs through easy. Greens in very good condition

Played a few Thursday's ago, very easy to get to from Central London. Bit if a shame that the kitchen didn't open until 10am, so couldn't any breakfast. Pro shop was closed when we arrived and were not sure where to pay our subs. A member pointed out its offtern closed, and to pay when we go in. Course was in great condition, I do agree with comments about a map on the card is needed.
Arrived back to the club house and a good lunch from the specials board, good value. Will be returning.
One negative - 10am opening for a golf clubs kitchen is a bit late if you want food before you go out.

Lovely little course right on Epsom Downs. Views from Heathrow Airport to Canary Wharf.
Golf course has tough holes and some very easy holes, but you do have watch where you hit it on the easy holes.
Enjoyed a lovely meal once we got into the club house, good value and the bar lady was helpful with table service.
Negatives: the score card could do with a map, as walking from the 4th green you could easily walk on to the 15th or 7th tees.
The pro shop was a bit empty, and on a hot day in August to run out of water is a cardinal sin! The Pro said I should have thought about buying a drink on the way, these things happen!

This isn't the longest course that you'll ever play, but it's not one to give up a good score easily. There are a number of tight holes where there's a good chance of a lost ball, especially the 8th and 16th, and you really don't want to get on the wrong side of the hole on the greens.
The 16th is all downhill but Victoria Beckham skinny. Fortunately it is a lot prettier though.
There are a number of holes that cross over each other, and a minor irritant is the number of people walking their dogs on the public footpaths, but there are some wonderful views over London to be had, and some really pretty holes to be played.
