All year round golf
Although not a long course, Epsom Golf course has been strategically arranged to suit every level of golfer. The main course defence is its greens - many little slopes and surprisingly quick. The course is "always open". It drains so well that even in the worst weather conditions, you can usually play. The clubhouse/bar offers decent, well priced cooked food and snacks and the staff are always friendly. The building has enough age to give it some gravitas, without appearing backward. Its also exceedingly well priced. Love everything about it!Reviewer Rating

Epsom is a little gem of a course
Invited to play in the Epsom GC, Seniors Invitational Open, so thought I'd accept as I've never played the course before. Well, its not a long course by todays standards with a par 70 and 5780 yards from the white tees, but really is a test of your game. Tight narrow tree-lined fairways, with some of the smallest greens I've ever encountered, which isn't the main defence of the course, but the undulations and slopes on these small greens, make it sometimes impossible to judge the pace and line of putts. Saying that it was a great day and there are some fantastic holes to mention. The 2nd is a slight dogleg left, that plays over a valley close to thevery, very small green. The 3rd a 192 yard par-3 that forces you either draw or fade around an tree about 100 yards from the tee. Tough. The 5th is a long par-4 heading towards the racecourse. Into the wind, downhill and then uphill towards the green, a real test.The 10th is a short par-4 where the trees encroach on your tee-shot. The 12th is a par-3 where again the trees hem you in with your tee-shot, where the wind then affects your shot as the hole opens up. The 14th is an uphill par-4 with a severely sloping green front to back. The 16th has to be one of the most unusual, quirky holes I've ever played, but it's fantastic. Short par-4, through a valley, downhill.The green is tucked just behind the edge of the trees and is very narrow. It also has some of the most severe slopes of and of the greens on the course.A real test of your golfing skills. It is not a driver hole !! The 18th is a good finishing hole. Dogleg right to left with a wide fairway. There are 2 hedges, each side of the entrance to the green, where the only 2 bunkers on the course sit either side. Nice clubhouse and pro-shop. There's a smallish putting green, a small chipping, short iron area and a couple of driving nets. I'm glad I played with a member, as I would never have found my way round the course as there are a few holes that criss-cross each other and a lot that cross roads, back and forward, but that aside, it's a lovely course and I'll be returning to play again.(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 17.4)

This is a great course to play all year round, its short and you do cross fairways but it is tight in places, the best part is the greens very good

Played today after the heavy rain and the course was very dry!!! Other courses would have been closed. Impressed with the Professional staff and help. Will be coming back here one weekend

Great course
Challenging short course with testing greens, that has a hint of links about it. Amazing views over London too from some of the holes. Very friendly and welcoming.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 89 Handicap: 18.7)

The copurse is starting to look good as the spring kicks in. It a challenge to put on and you must think carefully about where to position tee shots and approach shots.

The greens are amazing. So true and fast! I've played the nearby Walton Heath and in all honesty, Epsom's green were better. The course itself is fairly short and if you play well, you'll score well. I didn't play my best but wasn't punished too much. The only thing that may put people off is how close you are to the road at certain points. Great views of London too.

Iconic downland course
Excellent, friendly clubhouse and very helpful pro shop. Course is great; its difficult with some tricky greens but in superb condition - and its always dry! Great views from the top and for race goers there's Epsom racecourse to admire.Reviewer Rating

Even though the slope rating is low and then are no bunkers or water or a lot of hazards, don’t be fooled by this as it is a very tricky course with how tight some of the holes are and Epsom apart from the last doesn’t have a single flat green. Occasionally the fairway conditions are not the best but overall the course conditions are good for the value of money. This club is so friendly plus the food is really nice with a good variety and a really nice patio area to sit outside or inside seems a really lovely and warm place to eat and drink.

Hadn't played here in so long the 1st is now a Par 4, not a 3! Nice short tight course that sits on the common, so many roads to cross during the round but doesn't affect playability. Course was in good nick. Greens were also fine but a little slower than I was expecting. Quirky in places but well worth a look. Proabably as a result of all the recent rain. Friendly welcome in the proshop and a group of 4 members were kind enough to my 2 ball play through. Nice clubhouse and had a decent pint outside post round. Well worth a visit.
