A real surprise and really enjoyed!
Great course, friendly staff, interesting variety of holes and landscapes. Never played before and really impressed. Plus it's a municipal run by the council and it's really well kept. Worth another visit!(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 97 Handicap: 27.2)

I acknowledge that it was very much off-season, but for first time players, there was a regrettable absence of any guidance around the course, from hole to hole. When no tee was visible, or when more than one tee was visible, guidance to the next tee was a necessity. Arriving at each (strange) tee, there was no identification of tee number, or formation about the hole. For first time players, information on the direction of play was desperately absent. This was applicable to both tee and green. Two Seniors followed me onto the course, but as a single player, they very quickly disappeared from sight. I didn't encounter any other players on the course.
I was very pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course.
My comments are not presented as criticism, but to be helpful in giving a stranger's experience.
I live in Cornwall, and a new Grandson brings us to Ironbridge. I look forward eagerly to playing your course several times a year.

Great course
For a council run course, horsehay is great. My only issue is with the bunker sand...more like concrete than sand!Reviewer Rating

Simple but Effective
Most challenging aspect is the long meadow grass defining each hole. Very easy to lose a number of balls even if you note the entry point. Bunkers are very shallow. Having said that there are some interesting and challenging holes and this course is excellent value for money.Reviewer Rating
