Brilliant course, great value too!
Horsehay is a challenging course with great views over the Shropshire countryside. Interesting layout, makes great use of the topography and a pleasant change for the up and own courses where it's often difficult to differentiate holes. Friendly staff, great unfussy clubhouse with excellent food. Highly;y recommendedReviewer Rating

I played another course of similar price and standard in sunny, windless conditions a few days ago and finished level par, today in this, 18 over par.
£10 for 18 holes, friendly girl on reception, a really good day out!
Few bunkers missing sand and a bit of a smell from the local tip but these were minor issues.

2 slightly different 9 holes on the Shropshire Hills
2 9 hole courses called the Telford and the Wrekin. Prefer the first 9, probably a bit more interesting. 2nd one is very challenging, but a bit of a slog. Good value for money and friendly staff. Nice little coffee bar open till 5pm. Good parking. Can't fault it really.Reviewer Rating

Affordable and Accessible
Not the greatest course around but at ?300 for a year's 5 day membership, it makes golf very affordable and accessible.Reviewer Rating

Typical council course
This is run by the council, the greens were inconsistent speeds, spongy and lumpy. The fairways were fairly well maintained, the 1st rough good, 2nd cut brutal. There are no yardage markers or yardage books available so if you don't know where the greens are located it can be a challenge. Mondays there is no food available. The pro is rarely there as he is also pro at another course.Reviewer Rating

Shropshire Hills and Superb!
Up on the top of the Shropshire Hills and can get a bit gusty. Lovely course, beautiful greens. First 9 challenging with hidden hazards. 2nd 9 longer and continues the challenge. Great to play and not too exhausting either! Nice clubhouse (unfortunately on the Monday we played, the bar closed at 5). Really enjoy Horsehay!Reviewer Rating

The back 9 (Wrekin 9) are a more traditional layout, with some good par4s for scoring and a superb par5 to finish.
Both are good challenges in themselves - I would personally love ot play them both twice as 2 separate 18s, but that is just me!
Will defo play again
