If Hindhead had 36 holes it would be up there with the best branded courses. Magnificent views , slick greens and some brutal holes 3rd. If I lived near it I would aspire to join it. Back nine is weaker but interesting contrast. A test of a good golf course in my mind is walking onto a tee and being inspired and enthused about the challenge ahead. Hindhead has much more than its fair share of such holes. HCP5

Lovely course one of the toughest that I can play locally. Some temporary green and t positions but still a great day and a lovely course to play.

Beautiful course with the front 9 being some of the best holes I've played. Back 9 is quality as well. Overall a must play!

This awesome course has to be one of the most naturally stunning in the country. Friendly welcome awaits and fantastic halfway house. A must do course for any golf enthusiast.

Took Friday off because I had the opportunity of playing Hindhead. Freezing cold day with a to ouch of snow but I still enjoyed the day, what a great course want to go back in the summer when the heather will be in flower. Very tough course no water but lots of challenges and hazards to keep you thinking the greens were very tough to read and really quick because they were so hard.

Played in a PGA South Pro-AM and had a great day despite my golf fading badly in the last 6 hoels. I felt the course was presented in immaculate condition with some of the truest greens I've had the pleasure of putting on. Otherwise this is a consistently attractive and varied course layout and although not overly long, even from the White tees, it offers a test to all levels with heather, trees and well positioned bunkers ready to catch out wayward shots. All staff in Pro-Shop and clubhouse were very friendly and food was good. Very hard to fault as all round package.

Beautiful course in beautiful condition. Really struggled on the greens with a massive 25 putts on the front 9, 17 back 9. Members guest so green fees very fair. Not cheap if paying full price (£75) but still fantastic venue. halfway house good too. No complaints at all.

Played course off the White tees 2 days before club championship, and condition was excellent. Front 9 in the valley is scenic; back 9 somewhat plain but far from easy. Clubhouse undergoing refurbishment.

A lovely course, the front 9 is very undulating, whilst the back 9 is flatter (and more straightforward). Whilst I have played here a few times in the winter, the visit today revealed some different summer tees and the heather in its full glory (as long as your ball didn't find it).
