The clubhouse is a very traditional building with goolf changing room facilities and a nice bar looking out towards the putting green and 18th hole.
The shop even though fairly small in size is nicely stocked with some good quality equipment and clothing, the pro was nice and had a good chat.
Green fee was £45 on county card in mid July which was great for us!
Many have said that they think the front nine is the better nine with it being carved through the valley, don't get me wrong its very pleasant to the eye, and has great elevation changes, poor golf shots on some of the holes may be rewarded due to the edges of the holes sloping back into the fairways. On various holes where balls gather on the fairway there were divots everywhere, Some verging on excavations. Having said that the trees and surroundings are very well maintained, with the greens being of good quality (Not quite as good as neighbouring Liphook).
I love the "proper" bunkering which had heather growing on the lips. The 7th, 8th, 9th holes are for me clearly the difference between a good and very bad scorecard as they play uphill and into the wind when we played so play much longer than the other holes.
With the rough and heather surrounding the holes, you need to be hitting the fairway off the tee to give yourself the chance of scoring. There is a very good half way hut with seating for those that need a break after walking up to the 10th from the 9th green.
The back nine contrary to some reviews are great, a heathland type layout with lots of visible heather from the tee, its very enjoyable.
There are a couple of deceptive views into the greens such as the 12th which jumps straight into my mind with a false front, you think you have hit a perfect approach right at the pin but get there and its on the front of the green with a 40ft putt! You have to love playing a good course for the first time and being beaten up.
All in all you will not be disappointed with playing this course, with all the others in close proximity its well worth adding as part of a golf trip.

As always, excellent condition.
Hindhead is always in excellent condition. It's a got challenge but maybe not as hard as the members would have you believe. The front nine mostly in the valley means some of the errand shots will filter towards the fairway. Fairways are generally pretty generous if you can keep the ball straight'ish. Once the heather is up, errand shots will be punished. Greens are always quite fast.Reviewer Rating

Great course cut through the surrey hills
Love this course, stunning holes cut through the surrey hills. But tough. Avoid the heather at all costs! You really need to play the holes, it is not boom boom golf at all. Love it.Reviewer Rating

Horrible, don't go there.
I'm only saying this because it is a fantastic course and I don't want it to be over crowded. Played with a member which makes it good value for money.Reviewer Rating

Winter!
Doesn't seem to matter the time of year. Course in fantastic condition and drainage suburb. No standing water and no nasty clay sticking to everything. Greens remain very true if a tad slower.Reviewer Rating
