Great course cut through the surrey hills
Love this course, stunning holes cut through the surrey hills. But tough. Avoid the heather at all costs! You really need to play the holes, it is not boom boom golf at all. Love it.Reviewer Rating

Winter!
Doesn't seem to matter the time of year. Course in fantastic condition and drainage suburb. No standing water and no nasty clay sticking to everything. Greens remain very true if a tad slower.Reviewer Rating

Stunning course, highly recommended
Beautiful course, in immaculate condition. Some tough holes, narrow landing areas and some thick heather, but absolutely worth it(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.7)

Played as a guest, so can not answer the value for money. The course is typical Surrey heath and heather, and would have been much trickier if not playing with a member. You need to be fit if carrying your clubs.

Stunning course, especially the front 9 which sits in a valley. All of it's worth playing though. Back 9 is a little more open and sets a different tone from the front. Makes for an interesting contrast. Greens had just been sanded so a little slower than expected but still rolled very well. If you can get on here, play it.

Wow - love this course. Some amazing holes through glaciated valleys. The heather catches any wayward shots so keep a close eye on where the ball lands or you will be lucky to find it. Would not recommend carrying unless you are really fit as lots of steep walks esp between holes.

One of the best courses I've played amazing views and some great holes, lots of heather which is very tough if you are wayward, also the first 9 are a real work out, lots pf up and down hill, second 9 is thankfully a bit flatter.

The course is a real gem and the greens are lightening quick, the heather is a real killer and you must take your punishment and play out safely to ensure you are back in play. The hills to the 6th and after the 9th are a real test for any hiker! enjoy the rest at the halfway hopuse afterwards

If Hindhead had 36 holes it would be up there with the best branded courses. Magnificent views , slick greens and some brutal holes 3rd. If I lived near it I would aspire to join it. Back nine is weaker but interesting contrast. A test of a good golf course in my mind is walking onto a tee and being inspired and enthused about the challenge ahead. Hindhead has much more than its fair share of such holes. HCP5

Played in a PGA South Pro-AM and had a great day despite my golf fading badly in the last 6 hoels. I felt the course was presented in immaculate condition with some of the truest greens I've had the pleasure of putting on. Otherwise this is a consistently attractive and varied course layout and although not overly long, even from the White tees, it offers a test to all levels with heather, trees and well positioned bunkers ready to catch out wayward shots. All staff in Pro-Shop and clubhouse were very friendly and food was good. Very hard to fault as all round package.

Hindhead is over 100 years old, and a stunning course. Heather awaits you at every hole, so be careful. Practically no water at all, and the course plays well in the winter, due to the height of the course, with views over Surrey and Hampshire. Many hoiles have wide fairways, some that slope to the middle. A long course that is a very good lest, but low scores are possible. If you get the chance, you will not be disappointed.Reviewer Rating
