Played course off the White tees 2 days before club championship, and condition was excellent. Front 9 in the valley is scenic; back 9 somewhat plain but far from easy. Clubhouse undergoing refurbishment.

A lovely course, the front 9 is very undulating, whilst the back 9 is flatter (and more straightforward). Whilst I have played here a few times in the winter, the visit today revealed some different summer tees and the heather in its full glory (as long as your ball didn't find it).

Played this on 3rd March 08 and the first time for a while. Once again it was in great condition, the greens running slower than in summer but this made it easier for once! A course to play in 08.

Hindhead is over 100 years old, and a stunning course. Heather awaits you at every hole, so be careful. Practically no water at all, and the course plays well in the winter, due to the height of the course, with views over Surrey and Hampshire. Many hoiles have wide fairways, some that slope to the middle. A long course that is a very good lest, but low scores are possible. If you get the chance, you will not be disappointed.Reviewer Rating

Hindhead is one of the best courses you will play within an hour of London! The clubhouse is slightly dated, but the course is in fantastic condition. The greens are superb. The best 9 is the front, winding through the valley. The back 9 is higher up offering stunning views, and slightly easier than the front. One of my favourites!
