Lovely course and some great views
First time played, will definitely return. Very friendly, good facilities and challenging course. Same old story where you need to keep the ball in play(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 91 Handicap: 12.4)

Old school private golf club...but very friendly. I first played GGC in the late 70's. It really hasnt changed very much. Course is a laid out well and in kept in great condition. Its a very pleasant walk with some great views. It's one of the more expensive courses to play but great value. One of my favorites of those that allow casual green fees.

Played the course today. Found the course in exceptional condition. Some of the rough was very difficult for a high handicap golfer but should not get into it is the answer. Found the members very sociable and the bar staff very helpful. All together a great days golf.Reviewer Rating

Old School hilly downland course
Guildford is a nice old school course - not long, but unlike modern courses it fits into the land as opposed to bulldozing the land into submission. Plenty of tough holes, rarely in this dry summer because of distance, much more because of the need to stop the ball on downhill fairways. 17th is a tough hole to a tiny green and a serious challenge.Reviewer Rating

Great Course
We played In March at the end of some very wet weather, despite this fairways were good and greens excellent. There were a lot of temp tees in play and Hole 12 was closed for bunker replacements.Despite the works and tees the course was enjoyable and interesting. In the summer when the bunkers are complete it would be a joy to play.
