What The Club Says
The concept of Clandon Golf is to provide a high quality, easy access 9 or 18 holes golf experience as you the customer dictates. The course has been designed for all level of golfers. Clandon Golf is not your traditional golf club and therefore we have no membership base.
In 2008 the construction of the front nine holes of the golf course commenced on a fantastic chalk based site 5 minutes from the centre of Guildford.
2009 saw the construction of the back nine. To further improve the base, where there was no chalk primarily around the quarry, thousands of tons of chalk was excavated and those areas capped, thereby ensuring consistency of playing surface and drainage. Above and beyond this, massive amounts of earth moving took place to create great golf holes. Three large teeing areas per hole, huge greens with tantalising slopes and the brand new Sportcrete bunker system.

Quarry Ball Catcher
Great course and value for money. Greens were very good considering the drought conditions. Off the fairway tricky as they have left natural meadows - look lovely but hell if your ball goes in! The quarry hole, I might as well just toss a ball in and go to the drop zone. All in my head, it's not a big carry.Reviewer Rating

Bunkers had no sand just shingle
Pace of play so slow due to tee off times being crammed in and double tee off on 1st & 9th.
No clubhouse just a tent and food poor quality and service slow
Also no driving range or practice putting green.
Only positive was staff are very friendly

Well drained course
Great course to play in wet months, built on chalk, no puddles, all bunkers are self draining , no club house or bar , just a portacabin reception/cafe with a tent to sit in. Great views, well landscaped , super long hold 6 - 600 yds from White tees, no practice areas.Reviewer Rating

Good Course with some challanging holes
The rain has certainly improved the course, friendly staff, the only slight problems was some of the greens had been diamond sliced to improve grass growth and drainage I assume, this mad putting interesting, but overall a good course.Reviewer Rating

Look forward to my next visit.
The 2 ladies running the facilities were very pleasant but the facilities themselves were basic, barely adequate. The course is spread over a great deal of land and the distance between some greens and the next tee box was considerable. It would be helpful to have some signs near each green pointing to the next tee box. For a high handicapper (27.9) the course is challenging but it is a fair challenge and I thoroughly enjoyed my round of golf and look forward to my next visitReviewer Rating

Good test
Very dry course but greens were in very good condition.Fairways played very quickly due to dry weather.
Bunkers did not look the greatest but in them you had plenty of feel on the shot.
Very friendly staff.

Excellent Value, good golf
The greens are in mostly good condition, fairways are in good condition. The bunkers could do with some more sand but that's my only criticism of this course. I'm not sure you will find a better value 18 holes in Surrey.Reviewer Rating
