Even with all the rain we've had just recently ,the course was playable . The greens were quite fast. The bunkers were in good condition ( l found 3 of them) I also found the quarry.

Greens were in poor condition with diamond cut in the soil and varying depths of grass. This spoilt a good afternoon out in the Surrey Hills.

Poor condition

Unfortunately course conditions have deteriorated a lot in recent weeks. The greens were woeful, often bare of grass, mossy, patchy and in desperate need of a cut and a roll. The bunkers and fairways were also in bad shape. Non-replacement of divots and un-raked stony bunkers for which club and players must take responsibility. Shame, I have always been a fan in the past.

Very poor quality greens and unkempt bunkers which is unfortunate as it has the potential to be a really nice course.

My first, and last visit to Clandon Golf.

The tee boxes need cutting because the grass was too long and bunkers were full of footprints.

The biggest disappointment were the greens. They were in a shocking condition. We walked off the course after 3 holes. Definitely not worth £25 to play.

Save your money and book somewhere else. You can find plenty of courses in a much better condition for the same money, or less.

Greens are very inconsistent, the course is too dry and the greens are
not receptive.

Played here last year and the course was ok. Greens were like concrete and overall the course didn't seem to play well. At the time I put it down to the hot weather and gave them the benefit of the doubt.

I played 2 days ago. The course IS WITHOUT DOUBT poorly kept and the greens are terrible to the point where you couldn't realistically read them, my only hope was to just hit the ball closer to the hole and accept 3 putting was acceptable. On top of the dreadful greens - there is not enough sand in the bunkers so when you are trying to get out of the bunker you cant take sand with the shot. I didn't realise this until I played out for the first time and hit the compact layer of stones 1 cm under the sand.

We paid £12.50, which whilst cheap doesn't offer value for money. The course was in such bad condition I would whole heartedly encourage people to play in their local woods rather than at ClandonGolf. Awful course! In fact, the course has SO much potential and is incredible long with great views, but in it's current state I would stay well away.

AWFUL......

Booked to play here on a Sunday morning following a wet night of rain. Arrived at the course to find it was closed. The course only had a few bookings for the day, rather than just let people turn up a couple of minutes for a few phone calls would of saved people driving over. Ended up playing at Hurtmore, which was in great condition considering as it drains very well, but then again so does Clandon, it just seems like they could not be bothered opening!

Check they haven't allowed a golf society to block book sequential 4-balls before you bother.

Used to play here regularly before Covid-19 hit but stopped when they only allowed 2 balls. There?s 4-6 of us who play together so we changed courses to Chiddingfold. Same price, better greens, better facilities and most importantly much friendlier.

Came back yesterday for the first time in 9 months and won't be going back again in a hurry. Greeted at the pro shop by being told off for booking 2 consecutive tee times- that's not allowed apparently- though the booking system didn't seem to mind. The course has been tidied up somewhat but the tee boxes were the usual sorry state and the greens were horrendous, you simply couldn't putt with any confidence. Go yo Chiddingfold instead much better value for money.

Lovely day for golf

It was a lovely day for golf, light winds and blue skies for a lunch time tee off. The greens were a bit damp in places as were some of the fairway that were in the shade, but overall the course played well . The course had been busy in the morning and a lot of the bunkers had not been raked and pitch marks repaired.
