Lovely course, deceptively tough
Played Friday- ted off at 1pm and had no-one behind us all the way around. Course in great condition. Fantastic views of Guildford and Woking from the Downs. Greens, some quite large, but true and fast. Best condition I have ever seen it (I have played here a dozen times) and I can't wait to go back.Reviewer Rating

Played the course today. Found the course in exceptional condition. Some of the rough was very difficult for a high handicap golfer but should not get into it is the answer. Found the members very sociable and the bar staff very helpful. All together a great days golf.Reviewer Rating

Have played this course since 1983. Never get fed up with the course. Condition of the course always good. Friendly members and staff. Green fees are reasonable.Reviewer Rating

Great all rounder
Played with a member so a £25 bargain from start to finish. Very nice staff in pro shop to the ladies serving huge sandwiches in the spike bar.Lovely clubhouse on a course dating back to 1885 i believe so some real charm to it!
Really enjoyed the course. picturesque, challenging (but not too much) and firm/well drained! Some really great tee shots await you from elevated tees some shooting to fairways down hill like on 1, 8 and 17. Some tees had really well positioned bunkers (beware the hidden ones on the par 5 third!
Some greens are really fast. looking forward to playing the 17th when the green reopens - what a nice hole sweeping downhill and up again to an elevated green (Guildford has many elevated and sunken greens which are an interesting challenge I don't face very often! definitely returning in the summer! favourite tee shot was par 3 11th very picturesque well framed hole reminding me of the heathland course at Northants!

Really nice
Played with two friends on a Friday afternoon. Pro shop really helpful - we weren't sure whether to play as the heavens opened just before we arrived but we had booked a tee time. Course quite dry considering incessant rain for weeks. Quite quiet. Simple but tasty food in club house. Recommended.Reviewer Rating

Long and flowing with views to die for. Staff are friendly and helpful and the green fees offer fantastic value golf. I've played lesser courses and paid twice this!Reviewer Rating

Great course, well worth a visit
Played with a mate who is a member. Had a great day despite the current restrictions. The greens were in superb condition but tough to read. Not straightforward at all which makes life interesting for sure. Beautiful surroundings and very friendly members. I will be back.Reviewer Rating
