This course has matured a lot during the years I have played there. The greens are now in much better condition and the increasing number of trees has added character. There are a number of very challenging holes and the atmosphere of the club is always welcoming - an excellent venue for the visiting golfer. I usually play on a Monday at around 11 am and the course always seems to be quiet at that time.

Was a great shame!!! Away on business and this course is part or my clubs reciprocal, so free round. Played off the whites, which were difficult to find at times, greens not too good and bunkers needed some sand in the ones I went in. I played 12 holes as was a little disappointed, 3 ball ahead were veeeeery slow, was expecting more from an evening round.

Greens not at all receptive, bunkers like concrete, green-keeper decided it was a good idea to cut the aprons whilst we were putting out.

On a windy day this is a great little course to keep up you skills for par 3. They have a good range, putting area, clubhouse and I'm looking forward to playing their main course.

Nice course with a nice clubhouse but the greens were pretty poor which lets down the course. Not the easiest to navigate either.

Excellent fairways, although greens ok, albeit a bit patchy. Played £20 twilight (after 12:00) which is great

Very nice course with some very interesting holes in great surroundings, spoilt a little bit by the numerous pylons. Good driving range.

I may not be as enthusiastic about Fynn Valley as Andrew, but i certainly agree with him that it is a cracking course, with enough to keep golfers of all abilities interested. There are a couple of fairly short par 3s that give good birdie opportunities and there are several well placed water hazards and ditches, that come in to play,no matter how far you can hit the ball.

I joined FV last summer and now enjoy this gem 2/3 times each month. It has a selection of difficult holes whilst giving you a good chance of birdieson others. Only 3 holes have not given me pars (yet). The club has a membership including county players and if it's good enough for them, I'm always up for a challenge. If you think Suffolk is flat enjoy the upward climbs of the 9th, 17th and 18th, especially if the winds blowing. Yesterday the greens were excellent, very true with the fairways running fast (as long as you stay on them).
Value for money this has been the best membership investment I could wish for - the pro's and their shop are first class, whilst the club staff are great. If you want a fair challenge you won't go far wrong here. (Yes and I am biased giving it an excellent rating). Look out for a possible GST day here in the next few years.
