This is a hidden gem. An amazing set up of three classy courses. Club is old school and has rules which are in keeping with history and not stuffy. I would recommend a day out here, or two!

The course was in good condition but suffering from substantial Badgers damage. Very pretty course with some huge hazards for those who have not played it before i.e. hidden craters across what appear to be open fairways, but these do not in any way detract from a very good course.

Good course, played a qualifying round here for a trip to Portugal. Fairly tight course and played on some of the fastest greens I have ever played on and was played in October.

Course in immaculate condition! Played week after the European tour event! Greens were like glass, ended up 3 putting on 13 holes.

Enjoyed thoroughly the Summer Package but only managed to play the Red Course on Sunday afternoon. Millionaire golf - no-one else around. Great layout & the condition could not be faulted. A quality track. Definitely coming back.

Chose a wonderful thundery showery day for a first visit to Frilford where I was advised to play the Red 18, the main and oldest of the three 18 hole course. With the entire population of the area seemingly more intelligent than this reporter, the course was completely empty, - I wondered why having a 30 minute wait for the heavens to stop opening under my brolley by the par 3 4th which changed from an immaculate surface to a good excuse of a kayak training run in seconds. However. it proved though what a good draining course it was for after 10 minutes, the green was playable again.
An attractive approach down a tree lined entrance to a large clubhouse, and it was evident very quickly that this was quite a classy place - it is well kept, and with everything in its place. The Red course, well again, excellently kept, everything to its highest order, best tees I have seen this year, fairways well defined, no rough, some huge bunkers, and true and large greens. The one thing (typical of many heathland courses) is that it is difficult to remember each and every hole without help from a guide, and whilst there are many very tough holes (one at 474 yards par 4),, there are no fillibusters, no real memorable ones. The first 9 are incredibly flat, whilst a few on the back nine have a few minute undulations, but it is still a very easy walking venue. Keep straight and you will be OK, but the gorse awaits either side for the errant shots.
All round nice heathland course, very well kept in all respects, but very pricey indeed, truthfully, too expensive for what you get.

would love to play here again. red course much more of a testing layout than the green but both were enjoyed by all today.

It was a wet day but the course played well considering. Greens ran well. Some long holes made longer by the wind. Played a few holes on the Green course too which was a bit more interesting.

first four holes short but testing. Next 13 are open and link-ey. Good challenge in stiff wind. Bunkers disappointing - didn't appear to have drained after overnight rains
