What the club says: Frilford Heath Golf Club has three 18 hole courses offering a range of delights. With almost a hundred years of golf design heritage, players can choose a classic or modern challenge as they see fit. The Red Course was laid out in 1908 by five times Open champion JH Taylor. At over 6,800 yards, the Red course will be a test of any golfer’s skills. The Green Course
may be the shortest, at just over 6,000 yards, but playing to a stiff par of 69, it is no pushover. The Blue Course was opened in 1994, and was designed by Simon Gidman. The course has a more modern, open look, with a number of water hazards threatening, notably on the early holes.

Big improvements.

Played recently after a 12 month gap. Amazing changes in terms of the new pro shop and ?mansions? built as you enter the complex. A course clearly on the up, course conditions excellent (on all 3 courses I?m told) - wish I lived closer to ply there more regularly.

Fantastic course. The greens were the best I have played on this year by far. Smooth and fast, perfect conditions and a great set up

2-ball course - pleasant

This course does not really have any signature holes, but we got round quickly, and it was in fair condition

Fantastic course

Always a pleasure to play this course. The fairways were hit hard by last years' drought and are recovering steadily

Disappointed

Played the blue in our society and have to say I was really disappointed, expected much more then what I got, a tired looking golf course, lovely pro shop and clubhouse, but its all about the courses for me and it just didn't tick any boxes.

One Oxfordshires finest

Great course, £69 for the day was well worth it.

Greens ran true, precision of the tee key to a solid round.

REGS unofficial

An outstanding course, one of the top 100 courses in the country. Warmed up on the shorter Green course before tackling the Red course after lunch.

First time playing the Green Course, having been told by the Pro shop staff member that it was the best draining; I'm glad we weren't playing either of the others, as there was standing water on fairways (and a couple of greens). One particularly bad pin position had the hole and the surrounding couple of feet under water - but then again it was raining for the first 16 holes! Other than that, the bunkers were in good order, although, again drainage was a problem in a couple of them. Fairways seemed a little long, and greens were OK where there was no water standing. Only one par 5 (the first hole), so whilst it seems to be a short course, there are some very long par 4's (especially when it's so wet there is no run on the ball). It was also a windy day, which didn't help anyone's scoring. On a positive note, from paying £11 EACH for the Red and Blue Course Guides in 2017, there has been a change of ownership (apparently), and the Green Course Guide only cost £5. Staff looked after us very well, and the fish and chips for lunch and afternoon sandwiches and tea were very good.

Superb course and venue

A great visit to Frilford Heath, made to feel very welcome and a great set up. Played the Red course, in great condition, the greens are without doubt the best we have played on this year, and up there with some of the best ever.

Course is challenging, especially with the swirling wind, but a very enjoyable round from start to finish

Played the green course on a Friday evening at 4 and had the place to ourselves. Course as ever in wonderful condition, the Green course is shorter however trickier than the Red course, so still a challenge. Club house and facilities excellent.
