This place needs a lot of work.
The greens are terrible. Pitted and bare. (I think someone else here has called them 'browns' which is what most are.)
The fairways are ok at best. Every bunker I saw was GUR.
The first cut of rough is virtually unplayable as it's covered in cut, dead, grass. God knows how deep it was before it was cut, but losing balls (at least two) in the first cut is ridiculous.
There are some tee boxes that have been under construction since the last time I played here some 3 years ago.
We went because we had a voucher so it was effectively free. We had booked two rounds, but left after one.
The real shame is that this is a course that could be so good. It's got quite a few holes with real character. But it's not far off a waste of time when you don't know which direction your ball will roll (or bounce more likely) on a green.

Greens are really poor, fairways are not great and it feels a bit shabby. with some work it could get back to a decent course but it would need some investment. disappointing

Greens were terrible given it is the end of the Summer. Maybe they should spend less money on the bizzare bridges and employ a green keeper!

Played during September, the greens are in extremely poor condition with some more like ploughed fields, will take a good year or more to get these back to reasonable playing condition and would suggest playing elsewhere.

In need of some investment and TLC - anything beyond first cut is a lost ball so if you play like me you'll lose a few. Course well thought out but needs more maintenance. Greens too slow.

Potentially a very good course but in very poor condition. Fairways indistinguishable from rough and a general air of disregard. Very disappointing and it could be so much better with its natural setting

very disappointing, didn't have a great round but the lumps and bumps are awful. tees are just a mess looks like sand been sprinkled all over after being dug up by a grab lorry. the greens are very neglected which is a shame as some of the holes are very challenging and was let down with the start and finish of each holes. WOULD NOT pay £29 per round I think even a tenner is pushing it. WONT be coming back

AVOID!!!!!!!! firstly i have to admit i had a dreadful round but this wasn't helped by a terribly maintained course. the tees are in an awful condition and look as though 1000 rabbits live on them all day with more bare soil than grass! the tees are also solid and it was extremely difficult to get a tee into the ground. the bunkers are solid..... like playing a shot off a path but with a thin layer of stoney sand beneath. the ground around the greens was patchy, with bald spots and the green keepers are lazy as on a few holes all the plugs of soil taken up by the hollow tine were just dumped around the green. the greens had bald and patchy areas on everyone making it very difficult to read a putt and the length of the grass on the greens was long. i played there on a groupon voucher and would even say that at £8.50 a round it WAS NOT money well spent. an all round tatty, poorly maintained, excuse for a golf course. it could be a whole lot better.

We arrived in high hopes of a good day however what meet us was nothing short of disappointing, firstly upon arrival we made our way to the Pro-Shop which was advertised as being open from 10:00 - 16:00, however this was not the case, so we made our way over to the Club House which in all honesty really could do with some work as it obviously needed a good lick of paint, we were greeted (Or not) by a very unhelpful barman who promptly supplied us with a coffee and took our money for our round and and a driving range token. So after finishing of our coffee it was off to the Driving Range, what met us was a serve let down, a Driving Range of only 200yards with two green keepers cutting and mowing the range, the balls were poor quality and meant we were limited to warming up with only a 7 iron at most, even this was a risk due to the Greenkeepers, next up a putt on the putting green which should have set alarm bells ringing, the green was in poor condition and had obviously not been cut for a while and the club must have been struggling with some form of issue as there were bear patches all over the green. Finally our Tee-time where we were greeted by a cheerful starter who briefed us on the course and wished us well. The Tee boxes throughout the course were horrid and were mostly uneven and bear of any grass, the greens were again horrid with large patches of bear mud and again had not been cut for some time, the fairways were of a good condition. Overall this does seem like a course where the owners are only interested in money and have not really cared for the course, the website advises that the Green refurbishment program had been completed so i hate to think what they were like before. I would certainly put this on my "Avoid Like the Plague" List and will not visit again.

Avoid like the plague! We had a groupon deal but it still wasn't worth it! Greens awefull and 6 greens were not in use! They just stuck I flag in the fairways not even temp green one flag was in the rough!!
So much potential but I feel it's beyond repair unless an invested is willing to spend millions on it. Most of the bunkers have been over grown with grass!
I advise please go somewhere else otherwise you will be fuming get twilight rate somewhere for same price or go hit balls in a field to a make shift flag in the ground, same thing!

Lack of signage on tee boxes, certain portions of the fairways are water logged as are some of the paths between green and next tee. 1-9 greens are in terrible condition consisting almost completely of sand. I have only played this course once and shall not be returning for a second round. The back nine was in better condition but by then your game will have been ruined

Terrible course. Absolute bog like conditions, greens bumpy, wet and generally just like flattened moss. Hardcore all over the place, dressed up as being there for course improvement to make the place more interesting, but from what I gather nothing much has happened for the last 18 months. No reward for good shots as even long straight drives on the fairway plug on landing. Avoid this place. We also played at Sweetwoods which is around 5 miles from here and 10 times better. If I could give minus marks I would.
