What the club says: The setting alone is inspiration enough at Hever Castle’s 250 acre 27 hole course. Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, dates back to 1270. In 1903 William Waldorf Astor acquired the Castle and gradually added to the estate. In the 1920s the Astors created a nine hole golf course for their personal enjoyment, set around the Hever Castle lake and land to the north of Hever Castle, which survived until the Second World War when it was sadly abandoned.

Most Helpful Review
Great surroundings, terrible tees
Greens running true and quick. General course condition for this time of year is very good.
Bunkers are deep and play well. This is however where the good stuff stops. The tees on 90% of the holes are diabolical. Teeing off on a banana shaped surface is not what one would expect from a golf course charging £40.00 a round. Very slow play , Hever seems to have a large amount of pensioners tearing up the course slower than a turtle.
Club house is good and menu has enough to keep you busy, pro shop is small but adequate - Oct 16 2017

Golf Course Reviews for Hever Castle Golf Club
Very nice course - sp0me tricky holes. Dry weather made conditions difficult - look forward to playing again with softer ground and some grass!

very friendly and worth playing. Lovely scenic holes throughout the course. Greens in excellent condition
(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15.8)
Our society has played this course many times & we always enjoy going back. Course was bone dry & fairways / most of the tees parched & brown. Greens in good condition. All the staff were very attentive & friendly. Only downside was there were no clean towels, which was ironic as there was a basket for dirty towels!
A lovely clubhouse and friendly staff. Really look forward to playing there when the rain returns but, should anybody think of playing a round there, I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.
I would not hesitate and return in the future.
Great courses, friendly staff, good food and excellent amenities.
from the initial enquiry through to the day the staff could not do enough to help, the course played very well and was a fair test for all, considering the lack of rain it was in very good condition and the greens ran fast and true look forward to a return visit.
I'm an ex member. the course has improved and am considering rejoining.
I play this course every year as part of a society and have never been disappointed, great course, fantastic greens, friendly staff and excellent food.
Hever is set in the rolling Kent countryside in the backdrop of Hever Castle. It is challenging but set in beautiful surrounds with water to contend with on several holes and one of the longest par 5s you will ever play.
“Cracking course and one of the most picturesque I have seen since La Manga!!! Fairways immaculate and the greens were top notch, loved it.”

Really nice course, shame the weather was dreadful and everywhere was soaking wet. Definitely want to play when it is drier.

Our Society visited Hever Golf Course at the end of March. Although the weather had been wet the course was in superb condition. The greens were very good and reasonably fast. Hever is quite diverse which makes it a very interesting course to plot your way round.
Booking was was made easy by the office and the food and catering staff were all superb. The clubhouse is one of the best in the area in my opinion and it’s a pleasure to spend time there. We will certainly be back.
