Highly Recommended 2018
What the club says: The setting alone is inspiration enough at Hever Castle’s 250 acre 27 hole course. Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, dates back to 1270. In 1903 William Waldorf Astor acquired the Castle and gradually added to the estate. In the 1920s the Astors created a nine hole golf course for their personal enjoyment, set around the Hever Castle lake and land to the north of Hever Castle, which survived until the Second World War when it was sadly abandoned.Read our full review

Quiet but stunning 9 holeMembers here tend to stick on the Championship course so the 9 Hole Princes course is generally quiet. Its also pretty cheap (particularly for 18 holes) - but all the holes are top class and the course is always well kept although it can get bit muddy after rain. Good course for juniors. Lots of shots over water so bring plenty of balls!
The course was set up to play for winter, yet though i was still a lovely course, will be back to play it summer where i feel it will be harder and look even better.

Beautiful setting and a good test of golfPlayed 25th October ; quite good condition although the dry summer meant that there were bare patches on some fairways. The greens were good; fair speed and true. The course was looking great as well.
A bit ropey in places but generally good test.White tees need of some TLC. Greens ok but fairways were a bit ropey inplaces

Great CourseVery nice course - sp0me tricky holes. Dry weather made conditions difficult - look forward to playing again with softer ground and some grass!

Hever Castle Golf course 18/7/18Our society has played this course many times & we always enjoy going back. Course was bone dry & fairways / most of the tees parched & brown. Greens in good condition. All the staff were very attentive & friendly. Only downside was there were no clean towels, which was ironic as there was a basket for dirty towels!
A lovely clubhouse and friendly staff. Really look forward to playing there when the rain returns but, should anybody think of playing a round there, I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.
I would not hesitate and return in the future.
Brilliant dayGreat courses, friendly staff, good food and excellent amenities.
great society day outfrom the initial enquiry through to the day the staff could not do enough to help, the course played very well and was a fair test for all, considering the lack of rain it was in very good condition and the greens ran fast and true look forward to a return visit.
Long. Good testI'm an ex member. the course has improved and am considering rejoining.
Superb, highly recommended!I play this course every year as part of a society and have never been disappointed, great course, fantastic greens, friendly staff and excellent food.
Challenging CourseHever is set in the rolling Kent countryside in the backdrop of Hever Castle. It is challenging but set in beautiful surrounds with water to contend with on several holes and one of the longest par 5s you will ever play.
Cracking course, exceptional condition“Cracking course and one of the most picturesque I have seen since La Manga!!! Fairways immaculate and the greens were top notch, loved it.”
Lovely Course in delightful settingReally nice course, shame the weather was dreadful and everywhere was soaking wet. Definitely want to play when it is drier.
