Interesting course. More difficult that the length would suggest. Was in good condition. It's a 9 hole with 2 sets of tees. There isn't a huge amount of variation between these on most holes. Clubhouse is very cosy and nice meal afterwards on our society day. Wouldn't rush back but worth playing in the first instance.

second time the best

returned to the chart for a second time, course looking great playing well and of course the woodland setting at its best. tee to green, tricky but very playable course there was a competition going off as we arrived so had time to use the nets to warm up a bonus. single seat buggy a treat for my old legs very reasonable fees, has to be top marks for super sandwiches we all agreed. already planning next visit.

Delightful 9 holer

Played 9 holes just after lunch on a Monday course was deserted. Lovely little track with some good holes. Course was in great condition. Wouldn't like to play when busy as a few of the holes cross each other. Special mention to the friendly lady in the bar after our round.

Nice course, tight heathland layout with no need for the driver, irons off the tee are best. Greens in good condition. Some shared fairways (1&7, and 8&9) which makes it a bit chaotic at times, especially when you factor in dog walkers and road crossings. Staff and members were friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed my round.

A very nice but tight course. Main hazards are heather and gorse as is based on heathland. 2nd T off is over ex quarry/bomb hole. Greens in excellent condition and fast.

Short and strategic

Short course, but with recent changes requires some thought to keep big numbers off the card.

Fairways need some work, greens were decent to be honest and the course itself is great for practising irons...... didn’t use my driver once.

Vintage Golf Course

Limpsfield Chart is a charming course that gives a true glimpse of how golf course's where setup in the late 1800's.....Although relatively short by modern standards, the course requires you to focus on positional play rather then length. The par 5 seventh and par 4 9th are very challenging and require a high degree of accuracy if you are to avoid running up a high score.
The greens were in excellent condition and very true. The fairways are also very good with the grass giving a very clean lie and easy to get a clean strike on the ball. You have to be aware of other golfers as a lot of the fairways are shared with other holes.
The staff and members were very friendly towards our group and took the time to ensure that we enjoyed our visit. If you fancy something different and a trip back in golfing history - then this course is a must for you....

great greens - tricky course - a true test

Have played a few times here recently and although i was a bit skeptical at first (given that it is a pretty short course), it is a real challenge. On most holes an iron is the best option; even the longer holes given that there are a few tight lines and obstacles. Great true fast greens, some practice nets, a putting green and a nice welcome - its the sort of club that a local ought to join - friendly and challenging but without any of the stuffyness of some of its neighbours.

Making golf fun

As a child, I might have scoffed at this, since it's not a place where brutal long hitting is particularly well rewarded, unless you're very straight. This is 9 holes of charm and character. Aggressive golfers beware because the key to this is all about strategy. I walked off thinking "what fun"... and on top of that, the greens were pure velvet and quite fast! Who'd have thought it...a proper unsung gem.

Great "old fashioned" golf course laid out over heath land. Heather everywhere and the greens were being maintained when we played. Club has an honesty box for payments when the office is closed.

I just happened to be passing on the A25 and thought I would see if I could do a quick 9.
A very kind lady showed me how to sign in and pay the green fee. A superb little course. Very much liked the 2nd and 7th. Greens were very true. Tricky course, not for big hitters, more a thinking mans course. Definately worth a visit and excellent vaue

A very charming and quaint clubhouse, and the staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome. the course when you first look at it looks short and easy, but you have to position your tee shots in the right place otherwise you can score badly. The one outstanding feature of this course is its greens, I don't think I have ever played on better and they are so quick. Great value for money and definitely will go back.
