I regret to say that this is the worst course I have ever had the misfortune to play at, it has certainly seen beter days. The fact the car park was empty when we arrived at 8am spoke volumes. The lay out is very good but the tee's and greens need a LOT of TLC. Perhaps the groundsmen have been on furlough I dont know, but for sure we won't be back.

If I could post a picture of the state of the course all would avoid! Worse state I have ever seen a course in!!!!

A bit of TLC for the course required

I know the weather has been awful this winter/spring, but the course was in very poor condition - especially as the weather has been good the past week. Very disheartening to hit a good drive down the fairway, only to lose it as the grass was so long! We obviously weren't the only ones as we found many balls in the same position - other than our own! Shame really as the lay-out seemed good, but notwithstanding the long grass,the greens and the bunkers were dire too. To top it all, we get into the clubhouse to find there is no chef on duty - despite confirmation beforehand that we should be OK for food after our round. The only saving grace was we used a 2 for 1 voucher and we hardly saw anyone during our round, but this hardly made up for a poor day's golf I'm afraid.

Groupon keeps this place alive

Must be the worst place I have been to.
the clubhouse is damp and tatty. The Food cold and old. The poor lady behind the bar is all that was decent .
The course is in a terrible condition. No Bunkers and those that were usable are filled with course sand. The green speed is in the 1 or 2, cracking up everywhere with moss and what not growing between the few blades of grass. No clear signs up, all in all I have played council courses in better condition.
Groupon and their like keep this course open and in the last throes of death.
Dont get me started on the poor pot hole filled parking lot. The driving range is diabolical and chance of getting a ball from the machine is a miracle into itself.
My advice is avoid this course and spend your 10 pound groupon voucher somewhere else, because even for 10 pounds you will feel ripped off.

shocking

Played in a society cost 30 pounds, turned up and there was a sign in the club house saying that all bunkers were GUR thought it was due to rain and waterlogging but no, they were all full of weeds and completely un kept, The fairways were like playing from the rough ie not cut and the greens were full of moss and disease, If you want to hit a golf ball go down your local park rather that waste your money here. We joked about it at the end but really we payed good money and the course should not have been open in that condition will not go back.

Worst course I have ever played

The worst condition of a golf course I have ever played. Some very nice holes but the course is in such bad conditions. Every bunker was classed as GUR as they had so many weeds growing in them; the fairway grass was longer than a lot of rough than I have played and don't get me started on the greens.

Even if I was offered a free round, I wouldn't waste my petrol!

Fairways holding up bearing in mind dry weather, but greens need some work. Have obviously been spending money replacing bridges with some second hand metal structures, but far too few bunkers in play - too many GUR and in a sorry state. Investment in clubhouse also needed - they are doing work upstairs, perhaps to generate income to invest, but it's looking very sorry for itself. Even repairing the smashed path lights outside would help.

(Round played: Dec 2015 - Score: 123 Handicap: 28) The course was muddy beyond being playable. The fairway grass was very long therefore every fairway shot was like from short rough
