much improved from the last time we played here, greens were in better condition clearly a lot of work has been done, looking forward to the next visit

Potential not realised

The club house is being refurbished into a hotel. The car park is very poor. Bunkers have been filled with builders sand and grass seed scattered over. Other bunkers have been filled with clumps of clay and stones. They are out of play but the whole place looks neglected and looks like they have run out of money.

What a great course.Excellent fairways and greens.Very helpful clubhouse staff and top nosh.Hotel opening here soon also so looking like it will be a real destination golf resort.

1st time visitors wont rush back, had to check in at bar long wait while locals were served. no score card offered had to ask for one. course was nice but not in good condition-patchy greens fairways poor, rough very rough. finished round at 6pm went to have a pint in bar and told by staff "were closing" not a way to win new visitors!!

shocking

Played in a society cost 30 pounds, turned up and there was a sign in the club house saying that all bunkers were GUR thought it was due to rain and waterlogging but no, they were all full of weeds and completely un kept, The fairways were like playing from the rough ie not cut and the greens were full of moss and disease, If you want to hit a golf ball go down your local park rather that waste your money here. We joked about it at the end but really we payed good money and the course should not have been open in that condition will not go back.

Worst course I have ever played

The worst condition of a golf course I have ever played. Some very nice holes but the course is in such bad conditions. Every bunker was classed as GUR as they had so many weeds growing in them; the fairway grass was longer than a lot of rough than I have played and don't get me started on the greens.

Even if I was offered a free round, I wouldn't waste my petrol!

Fantastic place and people!!! Highly recommend!

We did the longest day golf challenge for charity and the service, support and people were absolutely superb!
A great course layout that is a real challenge and every hole is very different. Plenty of water and hazards and which make it very interesting.
All round great experience and the people are top class. Defo worth a visit

Really disappointing sadly. Staff were very friendly and their service was great but the course and facilities leave quite a bit to be desired. They are spending a lot of money on the clubhouse which is currently more of a shell, clearly looking to tap the event's market but the course which you'd hope should be the main concern is looking very tired. Fairways were good however the greens were uneven and even mossy in places. Tee boxes often uneven, and a high percentage of bunkers were sand-less, (literally, not just poor; they had mounds of grass growing). The course has potential definitely but it needs a lot of tlc.

Fairways holding up bearing in mind dry weather, but greens need some work. Have obviously been spending money replacing bridges with some second hand metal structures, but far too few bunkers in play - too many GUR and in a sorry state. Investment in clubhouse also needed - they are doing work upstairs, perhaps to generate income to invest, but it's looking very sorry for itself. Even repairing the smashed path lights outside would help.
