Stay and play
Stayed for a couple of nights at the hotel and got a round in. Pro shop staff excellent service. Needed a buggy to get round.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic
A lovely course that is probably better than the description on their official site. Certainly a course of 2 halves with the first 9 having some serious hills both up and down before levelling out for the back 9. First class golf course
Fabulous course in beautiful surroundings always in great condition.Has become a little crowded in recent weeks due to influx of members from a nearby course which has closed.

Great course
Great course, be prepared for a good walk across the bridge from 1st to 2nd then 8th to 9th, and the walk from 9th to 10th, but its worth it. Stunning course in great condition. Second visit this year and really enjoyed it.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 17.6)

What a gem!
What a course! Not played for at least 15 years and that is way too long. Very good condition, excellent layout and so great to play. Loved it and will be back very soon.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 19.1)

Gem
A gem of a course. Breath taking views on the front 9 only add to the quality of the experience. Lovely undulating fairways can lead you into deep traps that test your ability to escape.The greens are superb, as is the rest of the course.
Although still excellent, the back 9 doesn't quite live up to the front 9.
A couple of long walks between tees, but it's not a major issue.
The hotel is also fantastic & the staff & food very good.
A 'must' stay & play if in the area

Beautiful location, superb course!
Played this course for the first time and will definitely return. The greens were immaculate and the fairways scorched by the recent heatwave and running very fast but nothing could deter from the pleasure of playing this course.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 126 Handicap: 26.7)

What an excellent golf course. Proper Championship Standard. Superb greens and long rough making it though if your off line but rewarding for good shots. Beautiful settings. Friendly staff. Highly recommend

Both my visits have been in an attempt to qualify for the Trilby tour so I suspect It was a good time to visit, however the condition of everything was delightful, even the drive into the course is quite nice. The Clubhouse is in fantastic condition and has some excellent training facilities.
The course itself is stunning with some magnificent holes. I can't think of a single hole which is similar to another which shows great thought when designed.
My favourite hole by a distance was the 10th when I played it (now the 1st). While I think its a shame that they have moved it, it does make it an incredible start to the round with a good drive needed to start, with oob left and a bunker right you need to be accurate, and longer doesn't really mean better with a huge tree in the middle of the fairway on approach a good layup will likely be required.
On top of the great design what really makes this course is the condition of the greens, In this country I am yet to play on better. True and run brilliantly.
Could not recommend this course highly enough. If I lived more locally (its about a 40 minute drive) I would be a member of this club.

Love this golf course, just a great design and very difficult. At 7100 yards it is a long golf course and big drives are required and accurate shots to get close to tight pins. Very challenging even for a county player!

The venue was fantastic! The staff were excellent, made you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in. The course was hard but very enjoyable. Had a great weekend.

Played the course in late August and it was looking superb. This month the course was doing a deal charging just £17.50 Mon-Thurs. It is probably the best course you could play for that sort of money.

Greens were very true for October golf! Watch out for the 10th this is a monster par 5 with a big tree in the middle of the fairway. Length and accuracy are needed off the back tees to score well.
