Played Woosnam course on second day of golf break. Whilst longer and in incredibly good condition (same lush fairways and fast, true greens) the rough is thinner than on the Dale Hill course and thus slightly less punishing. All in all, two fantastic days of golf on two excellent courses, a wonderful evening meal and delicious cooked breakfast. Friendly staff. Just a perfect golf break.

Played on first day of two day golf break. Course is immaculate. Fairways lush and spongy. Beautiful to play off. First cut and rough equally well managed but rough (whilst fairly short) is thick and punishing. Easy to lose ball even though you know where it went in. A challenging course that rewards careful golf. Greens very, very fast and perfectly true. A great golfing experience with some picturesque holes.

Woosnam Course is one of the very best I've played. Every hole was interesting in its own right. Long par 5's, tough doglegs, tricky par 3's. The course was in immaculate condition for November. Could not believe how nice the fairways were. Can't wait to get back.

Really enjoy playing this course. A good mixture of holes, the greens were really long the day i played, i hope this isn't the norm. I RECOMMEND !

Played the woosnam course twice over a weekend.Very helpful staff,great course with multi tiered greens,lots of bunkers and greens that struggle to hold balls,thick rough and great greens,not my favourite of courses but still worth playing.mandatory buggies are well worth their weight in gold with hilly climbs.
found the first 3-4 greens very fast but the 17th very slow in comparison-watch out.The 18th par 5 was quite weak to end the day.when the wind blows this course is diffcult!

Not quite up to scratch
Unfortunately the courses were flooded in a number of places.Frequently up to ankles in mud and water. Greens were in good condition and fast moving.Im sure this is a fabulous place to play golf when it's dried out just not the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. All the staff were great particularly Darcie in the pro shop who was super helpful and friendly.Reviewer Rating

Dale Hill Woosnan Course
Front 9 very boggy in places. Back 9 drier couple of temporary tees.Very challenging in the wind. Overall enjoyed the day.

Captains Weeke-nd
Took 16 golfers on captains week-end played bother courses in October 2023, course was in great condition considering time of year, Foods was very good and in ample portions. Accommodation was also good and close to club house for easy staggering distance from Bar.Reviewer Rating

This is not a course to play in the winter. Some of the tees were wet (it was not raining), the green speeds were variable - mainly due to water - and many of the fairways are best described as marshy. From the deep footprints in some places it was obvious this is a constant problem

Nice Course but a bit boggy
