Excellent
We played Dale Hill, Woosnam Course on a sunny Friday in July. The course was interesting, well laid out with fast and true greens. Would definitely recommend.Reviewer Rating

Ian Woosnam course
Now fully recovered from the leatherjackets a few years back and is magnificent. Challenging but fair. Long and often a trek to next tee so get a buggy. Old course is worth a go if you prefer to walkReviewer Rating

Fantastic golf courses
Great golf set up. Woosie course is first class. Heat tee boxes, fab fairways and nice receptive greens. Old course is slightly shorter, but still a tough challenge.Nice staff and rooms are good.

Society weekend.
Both courses in excellent conditions, a good test on each. Only downfall was the service in the bar and restaurant. Understandably understaffed at present but it took an age to get food and drinks. The staff that were there were excellent but they were run off their feet.Reviewer Rating

Mud mud everywhere!
We were due to play on the members course but on arrival were informed that it was closed due to mud and water. We were moved onto the Woosnam course. Our society have a number of keen golfers who will play in the wind and rain and will accept imperfect conditions to play.
However, on this occasion, it was clear after just a few holes that the course should not be open. Golf balls were plugging on the fairways and anything off line resulted in a lost ball on many occasions. Some greens had damaged areas and footmarks due to being soaked. Once you have played a few holes, you just keep going. Its what society golfers do!
The amount of mud in the well used areas was awful and the rough had been allowed to grow making it a very disappointing day
We all managed to get round because that's what crazy golfers do when they have travelled long distances and taken the day off work.
I know times are tough and businesses need to make money but than course on that day should not have been open for play.
I hope the course recovers quickly and not too many golfers are allowed to play on it in that condition.
