This is the first club that I have been a member at and have played some challenging courses previously but this takes first prize for enjoyment and value for money.
It is a long and tiring course but perserverance being the key to a good round.
Back to back long holes make this one of the most frustrating yet fun courses around to my mind in Essex.
Well worth the crack!

This is an Essex park land course on the edge of Chelmsford as is (in their words) "designed to take full advantage of the natural terrain and include an undulating topography. Mature trees and numerous water hazards provide".
The course offer an excellent bar area and a large driving range together with a 9 hole par 3 course.
For many years this club has sold itself on the back of its 650 yard (off the "black tees") 18th, but this is probably the most boring hole on the course being nothing but long and straight. The first offers an intimidating tee shot over a small valley, but the carry is deceptively short and is a fantastic way to start as it inspires confidence. Many of the fairways are narrow with overhanging trees but have well placed bunkers and water where you don't expect it.
On the whole an enjoyable course with many endearing features.
