The course is in a much improved condition. The greens also good. 7-8 out of 10.

The weather has been terrible the last few months so the course was struggling. I have played on courses in the same period that have been maintained a lot better.

Certainly one of the best courses in Essex, very professional set up from reception and starter, facility's are superb, course is great with superb par 3s, bar staff very friendly, the only criticism is there are areas of out of bounds that still seem to be part of the course where the hazard is punishing enough.

The course is in very good condition. Definitely one of the better conditioned courses in and around Chelmsford.

Course played very well given the very wet and windy conditions we played in, although the greens tended to be a bit on the bumpy side. Service slow in the clubhouse, considering very few people in there, albeit that was offset against the fact that we were not in a particular hurry today! The course though is a lovely challenging course and attractive with various water features to overcome.

Although we have had a very wet winter the course is drying out well the greens are in lovely condition

We also played the course on Monday 17 November and although wet in places after terrific amount of rain recently. The course was playable and nowhere near as bad as this guy says

Played on this course with two friends on Monday, 17th. November.
Although the course is a good test of golf, it was waterlogged and, in our view, should not have been open.
Most of the fairways were so wet it was impossible to find any relief from casual water.
Some parts of the course, e.g. the fairway to the right of the pond on the 18th, were like quagmires.
One of my playing partners slipped in the mud walking off one green and had to complete the round with his clothes caked in mud.
It was not a very good experience for which we were charged £35 each!
The course might be good in the summer but obviously does not have sufficient drainage for this time of year.

Great course in good condition, some very long holes a lot of water to dodge especially on the tricky par 3's. A very picturesque course set in a great country location.

Played this course on a Saturday afternoon with no one else on it. Was one of the best courses ive played tough par 4's and 5's with fun par 3's including lots of water. Was dear for twilight but worth it.
