What the club says: Cobtree Manor Park Golf Course is located on the outskirts of Maidstone and is very easy to find being just seconds off the the M20. It's easy to see why this venue is one of the most visited courses in Kent, with a stunning 18-hole layout, USGA-specification greens and welcoming Clubhouse with a large decking area adjacent to the 18th green.

The course was built in the 1960s amongst rolling parkland, with several water features integrated into the design of the holes.

Great summer course

Overall always a good test of golf, good lay out with some challenging holes. Course management is a must as trees will cause loss of shots and also loss of holes. Greens look good but are slow putting needs to be strong .ettiquette needs to be reminded at the front desk as 3& 4 balls do not yield to other 2 balls when slow play is often the norm through tree mishaps

Course slowly beginning to dry out. Bunkers were in very good condition. All tee boxes were from mats which have seen better days. Greens in reasonable condition.

Good test of golf

First impression was 60% of the tees have not recovered or been overused ,patchy and uneven and some barer than others.The course is well laid out and is a good challenge of golf and needs though and good course management from the tee. Greens were good but most of the fringes were left long.Unfortunately there had been a storm the previous weekend so the course had suffered and was boggy in places.

The team are doing a good job on the course and it is in pretty good nick. An enjoyable place to play and the back nine is very pretty

Get Golfing took over the lease of this course last October and since then the course conditions have improved considerably. The greens are now in superb condition. The only negative aspect I can find with the course is that there is not enough sand in some of the bunkers.

New Management

Get Golfing took over the course last Autumn following a period of poor maintenance by the previous company. It was a slow transition due to lack of equipment and poor weather over the winter causing flooding over many areas, the course is now greatly improved but with drainage problems needing to be addressed. The clubhouse is still awaiting renovations. As a member who paid a higher renewal fee
I am concerned re the encouragement of society and visitors clogging up the course in the summer months.

Improving

First time have visited since mytime passed on to new management team . I can see major improvement bunkers with good sand and greens in excellent condition problem with this course and many others this spring was a lot of boggy areas around the low parts of the course spoilt another wise enjoyable society day.Other than that the club house and staff were very friendly and welcoming with good choices of food and drinks.

Not sure where to start really, price reflects the current course and clubhouse!

Played 2 times over the last month and both times the clubhouse inside is cold, apparently the heating isn't working so for at least the last month the poor staff there have been working in cold conditions with only a couple of portable heaters to keep them warm! as you can imagine I wouldn't want to eat in a cold clubhouse... which worked out well because even on weekends the 2 times I have aged we couldn't get food because there was no chef onsite.

anyhow, the course has suffered with waterlogging in recent years and it seems this year its the same, for me I know what to expect so it's not a real problem but around the greens and most of the fairways are getting really long now.

overall you get what you pay for! but really hope they sort the heating out because anyone would think it's the 1800s not 2024! not a good look for Get Golfing really
