Inland links style course and always in good condition with true greens. Even with all of the recent unseasonal June rain, course played very well. Thank you!

Good course, well looked after. At the moment a lack of water deters from some of the holes where streams and lakes have dried up.
Beware of the Golf Police (marshalls for speed of play). We played a four ball in 4 hours but were approached by a 'marshall' on two occasions who had had complaints re slow play from a two ball behind our three tee time three ball society outing. Disappointing given we were keeping to the time check markers displayed around the course.

Challenging Parkland course
Challenging Parkland course. Quite forgiving. Some very long holes. Pretty good value for money but disappointing but I didn't have a special rate for seniors on a weekday in common with lots of other local clubs.Reviewer Rating

Always like playing here
I have played Chesfield Downs many times and have always enjoyed playing there. On my most recent round there, it was a sunny day with not much wind. The course can be a bit exposed but it was good on this occasion. The fairways were in good condition, as were the greens. The bunkers weren't quite so good. In the clubhouse, once again they provided good food so I left feeling that I had had a good day.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 106 Handicap: 30)

Amazing condition compared to other courses
This has always been a great looking course, but compared to other Hertfordshire courses this is far supreme. I have played a lot of golf through the winter and loads of different courses and this is easily top of my list due to fairways, greens, tee box and fridges.
