What the club says: Knebworth Golf Club was designed by famous course architect, Willie Park Jr. Originally a traditional parkland course, it has been transformed during the last half century by the introduction of hundreds of trees, ensuring that the majority of holes are tree-lined. Doglegs embellish the course every few holes which add an additional level of difficulty to the tricky test already on offer. Elevated tees, rolling manicured fairways and large well kept greens will satisfy golfers of all abilities.

Hard work with the course playing long in the winter conditions. Wormcasts in evidence on fairways. Greens were as you’d expect. Too many leaves & lost balls next to the greens or just off the fairways. Very frustrating & therefore slow. Post round grub acceptable . No cask ale.

Good Parkland Course
Played recently for the first time. Layout of course is good and well looked after. Greens well maintained and interesting as many are sloping with multilevel tiers. Fairways quite wide and forgiving so not to much time lost looking for balls. Food and facilities very good.Reviewer Rating

Fun Course

Pretty but scruffy
Played here for the first time. I think we were unlucky as it looked liked the fairways had been recently scarified and the greens tined and sanded. Putting was a challenge with the greens as they were with all the ridges and the sand. Some very good holes and overall a good looking golf course. Only visible distance markers were coloured markers in the fairways but no posts (unless they were hiding). Like my home course they use red yellow and white flags to denote where the pin is on the green. Would like to come back in the summer when the treatments have settled down and I am sure it will be stunning.Reviewer Rating
