Tee boxes are uneven and not in good condition.

The course it getting pretty bad this time of year. Mud patches everywhere and greens are poor. Definitely not worth the £22 at the weekend.
On the plus side it is only 2 minutes from my house.

A lot to be desired.

Have played this course for over a year now, if only Glendale Golf invested money into CPGC, it would be drastically improved. In winter it’s basically flooded, in summer the greens are scorched, the sprinkler system doesn’t work on back 9. Litter everywhere.
Find it a bit naughty to ask for £30 for a tee time.
Could be such a good course if someone cared. The staff however are extremely friendly and helpful.

I mean it’s ideal if you’re new to the game.

long grass

On this date the fairway grass was long and so difficult to find the ball.
The "short" rough adjacent to the fairway was too long to find balls so progress and scores were poor. Not in usual condition

not expecting much as a public course and wasn't disappointed. Tee boxes and fairways were good, but the rough was very rough and didn't look managed in any way. The greens were very bare and also very bobbly which didn't give confidence in putting.

Played this course a few times just played since lockdown slow play, found the first cut grass too long balls sinking down unable to see them unless you are right on top of it, people looking for balls the whole round.

The course is looking good greens are a little dry though, but all in all its a good little course that maybe over looked because in the past it was not kept in a great condition.
The only gripe is that the head greenkeeper has made some of the fairways very tight the 7th the 9th is ridiculas I would challenge some of the best golfers in the country to get a ball on the fairway and the 15 is tight as well. give it a try if you are in the area.
