Atrocious condition
In absolutely atrocious condition. The greens had no water in the summer so they are just about holding on, some parts of the greens are bare mud, you’d think you were putting through a bunker. There are about 8 greens which are unplayable. The irrigation system needs repairing because it’s flooded in the sprinkler areas where the water can’t escape, it was the same in the summer as some areas were green, some areas hadn’t seen any water for months. Can’t help the fact that someone has used a motorbike to churn the greens up but the areas which are being regrown should be ground under repair, no attempt to keep anyone off. The owners just want the most money they can out of it without investing any money in the course. You’ve renovated the club house, turn your attention to the course because I will never be coming back again. I was charged £26.50 for a round here and wish I had never spent my money. Oh and cut the rough, that’s ridiculous length for amateurs.Reviewer Rating

Canvey in winter
Played 9th jan 2021 after a day of continuous rain. The course was surprisingly firm. Some standing water in the low points. Some mud in places but not on the fairways. The greens also good.
This was good value for ?25 considering the condition of other courses in the area at this time of year. Comfy bar area, friendly service. Not sure if there's any food on offer.

Hidden gem!
Lovely track and quite challenging. Those moaning need to keep it on the fairway! The first cut/light rough is not as tricky as it was a week ago as easier now to find your ball as grass is fading in colour due to the dry conditions. Greens need work but I understand this is being looked into. Besides, you should be at least be able to 2 putt on them so very playable. I play off mid hc and shooting in and around my hc so others should also be able to do so.Reviewer Rating

Challenging in the wind
The course is challenging for all levels of golfer, but is also very good to play whatever the level. The course is fairly flat but if there is a wind blowing it is very challenging. Well worth the money.Reviewer Rating
