A lot to be desired.
Have played this course for over a year now, if only Glendale Golf invested money into CPGC, it would be drastically improved. In winter it’s basically flooded, in summer the greens are scorched, the sprinkler system doesn’t work on back 9. Litter everywhere.Find it a bit naughty to ask for £30 for a tee time.
Could be such a good course if someone cared. The staff however are extremely friendly and helpful.
I mean it’s ideal if you’re new to the game.

AWFUL Condition
The course was in Terrible condition. On the front nine parts of the fairways was wet underfoot. In contrast 7 greens on the back 9 were brown, bone dry with moss, cracking and bobbly. Plus we didn't see a single green keeper on the course. Also, it must be said that it is easy to lose your ball in the first cut off the fairways which is not helped by the fact that mown grass is left there. Have cancelled my subscription.Reviewer Rating

long grass
On this date the fairway grass was long and so difficult to find the ball. The "short" rough adjacent to the fairway was too long to find balls so progress and scores were poor. Not in usual condition

Course Management
Although the course layout is really good the condition is poor mainly due to the recent hot weatherThe rough is too rough just needs cutting back a bit so as to at least give you a chance to have a shot

Atrocious condition
In absolutely atrocious condition. The greens had no water in the summer so they are just about holding on, some parts of the greens are bare mud, you’d think you were putting through a bunker. There are about 8 greens which are unplayable. The irrigation system needs repairing because it’s flooded in the sprinkler areas where the water can’t escape, it was the same in the summer as some areas were green, some areas hadn’t seen any water for months. Can’t help the fact that someone has used a motorbike to churn the greens up but the areas which are being regrown should be ground under repair, no attempt to keep anyone off. The owners just want the most money they can out of it without investing any money in the course. You’ve renovated the club house, turn your attention to the course because I will never be coming back again. I was charged £26.50 for a round here and wish I had never spent my money. Oh and cut the rough, that’s ridiculous length for amateurs.Reviewer Rating
