Fairly pricey compared to others in the area, but that’s understandable too given the overall quality of it.
It’s a lovely walk, with some nice scenery and views, so even if your own performance isn’t upto much you will still enjoy it!

Love this course, up/down round & around. Tricky lies and 2nd shots to navigate, greens also quick but super experience overall + a good sausage sandwich after too!!1 issue that new groups being fed into the round @10th tee that delayed us a bit!???????????

In my opinion this is a tough golf course and very well kept in the summer months. There are a lot of undulations in the course and although the greens were slower than I’ve seen them before (thank goodness) they are tough greens to putt on. Good old school club that still hold traditional values.Reviewer Rating

Greens and fairways in excellent condition
The greens were fast and true and the fairways were in excellent condition. Shame that there were several tee boxes being repaired and so we had to use mats on those holesReviewer Rating

One of the best courses I?ve played this year
This is a lovely course. The tee boxes are in great condition, fairways were in good form and the greens were true and fast! The practice putting green was immaculate. Showing great signs for the course to come. The course was the best kept course I've played all year and worthy of a visit. The condition is down to a small army working on the course. Repairing divots, cutting the fairways, etc. it is a true credit to the staff and the pride they take in their work. The course has a combination of shorter and longer holes, using the slopes and hills very well. The greens were fast and very challenging. A few 3 putts were recorded but it was still very enjoyable.
The only downside was the club house. It was in good condition but the bar and food are served at different parts of the clubhouse. Staff were talking rather than looking for customers (I entered at 1200 so I would've thought they?d be geared up for the lunchtime rush). They were polite and friendly once they noticed me.
The course is well sign posted, alerting people to risks and flagging public footpaths. One big risk was the practice facility hitting mid irons to a practice green across the first's fairway.
?65 for a round is incredibly steep for most people, especially given the current economic situation. I think for ?50 or so, then it would be well worth a visit here. I made full use of the day ticket option.

Well worth the trip
Ideal shortish James Braid course that didn't disappoint & very acceptable conditions for winter golf. Greens challenging & well maintained fairways fine. A few temp tees but understandable just a shame the kitchen had shut.Reviewer Rating

Excellent Course
The fairways were in great condition however when we played the greens had just been spiked so they were slightly bumpy and slow but I am sure they will be back to their fast and true condition in a weeks time.Nice clubhouse however it can be a bit stuffy.

A short but very tough track
First five holes are as tough as you'll play. Course was in good condition, particularly the greens which were lightening quick. If you like a course that's testing, including many shots which are above and below your feet, then this is the one for you. Very friendly bar staff.Reviewer Rating

a tough track
Boyce hill is not the longest course in Essex but it is one of the hardest. Hills and rolling fairways make it a good challenge. The greens are lovely and roll very true. You will need your A game to score well around here. Lovely parkland course in the middle of quiet Benfleet. The views are superb.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 85 Handicap: 9.1)

Superb course
Magnificent course in beautiful condition - greens are so quick but the best I\'ve played in a long time. Quite a test up and down the hills on a hot day. Whilst the course is hard I advise playing short and allowing the ball to run on though plenty of greens are raised so not an option on these.Reviewer Rating

one of the finest in Essex
the course is in great condition. The greens are coming along nicely. Lots of work gone into them. Probably playing about 9 on the stimp meter but will easily reach 11 next month. It`s not the longest course but it requires some really good golf to card a good score. The undulating fairways make it a proper test of golf.
al the staff are helpful and friendly especially in the Pro shop.
