Perhaps I was expecting too much from this course. Played with a member and was a little disappointed, having said that it had been inclement weather but still no excuse. Very cold day playing and was looking forward to hitting the bar to warm up and fill up empty bellies, unfortunately no heating in the club house and apparently no chef in the kitchen, very sad to say the least. My friend was very embarrassed. I would perhaps return in the summer to give it another chance.

This course has suffered badly from the weather, it was wet in places. The greens had been top dressed (but we weren't warned beforehand or given any money back). So the greens were slow and inconsistent, the fairways were scruffy and the tees were untidy. The course is tight but otherwise not difficult. The food and service afterwards were very good.

Played the course this March 2014 and after all the rain we have had was in good condition. Is it worth £40 (winter) £60 (summer) to play definatley not. The presentation of the course was very unprofessional no tee box identifications, distance markings a mess, flags virtually any colour they want to put in etc, etc.We had played the Manor course at Bramshaw the day before which was beautifully presented and in first class condition. My conclusion is, that this club wants to be member exclusive but, like a lot of clubs of this ilke have to bow to the tough financial times and reluctantley let visitors play.

Lovely Course

Lovely course in tip top condition. Our society play here often and we enjoy the challenge that it gives us. Unfortunately we feel the members can be a little snooty but the staff make up for this particularly in the bar. Look forward to our return visit.

A lovely "forest type" course in the heart of the New Forest. Not long but "shaping" required on some holes and ditches to be avoided on others. Four good par 3s. Not at its best today as greens had been treated and the 17th (ususally a great dogleg par 4) reduced to a par 3 as drainage work being undertaken on the fairway.

Greens great for weather

A tough track at anytime, hard in the dry weather. Greens receptive but are suffering in the heat, played amazingly well. Great welcome and a good menu. Highly recommend at any time of the year.

Great course in the New Forest, conditions were great and the course played very well. Pace of play was decent and good value for money, and I love the cows on the course!

Lovely course

Although the greens had been treated and were a bit slow, the course was in great condition and the slopes on the greens present a real challenge. Worth the money to play.
