A pleasant par 3 course

Played Hoburne for the first time yesterday. Very friendly welcome from the shop. The course was in good condition despite the hot weather. The greens were well watered although a couple had disease which was clearly being worked on. No great challenges and no bunkers but two longish par 3s and a few trees to avoid. Two different tees for each hole made for a varied 18 holes. Enjoyed the round and would return.

We play this course every time we visit the hoburne bashley site all times of the year and are always impressed with the quality of the fairways and greens. However, could use some updated winter matts as current ones have seen better days.
Overall always a fun and enjoyable round.

Great 9 hole

Played on Saturday 1130 on 20/5/23 after a days horrendous rain downpour. Course drained really well and was better maintained than most 18 hole courses I’ve played in surrey. A few tweaks with a bunker here and there and lengthening a few holes would make this a brilliant 9 hole course. Cheap as well .!

Nice flat easy course

Good if practicing your short game. Greens will be in better condition when weather improves. I play about 5 rounds a year to retune periodically. Lots of other facilities.

We have been at owned a caravan at Bashley Park for 30 years, and this year the golf course has been at its best, thanks to all the hard work put in by the groundskeepers, and the new watering system. Also Thanks to Garry and Paul for doing a fantastic job. Anybody buying a holiday home at Bashley, would enjoy playing golf on this course.

A good practice course

A new pro, and visiting pro-teacher means a great improvement to this course. Gary is very helpful and has improved the course no end this season. Price is now £10 for 9 holes.

Course is a nice Par 3 attached to a holiday camp.
At the time of playing Pro shop was closed but presume you could use facilities in Holiday Camp Club House.
This is not a full on proper course, but you can get round 9 holes in about an hour and the holes are quite challenging.
Also has a small driving range attached

a short 9 hole course linked to the Hoburne Caravan Park. No clubhouse, pro shop closed down and you pay at the park reception. Nevertheless a good way to spend an hour if you are staying at the park

Course is in good condition, fairways are narrow and the rough is very rough, hard to get of. The course isn't too long but it is tricky if you don;t hit the ball straight.

Re: review of 7th August:
I had explained at the time to the couple that we had started course maintenance and had explained what the condition the greens were in. At the time this was fine and the
customers were happy and paid for club hire and their green fee's. On return and when receiving the equipment back there was no complaint and they both seemed happy. I learnt of the report via another customer that uses the course whilst taking a weekend break here at Bashley and I was upset, as since I have been here I have only ever tried to improve the standard of the facilities and make a point of putting our customers first. Played twice over the weekend with my 9 year old son. Didn\'t check course layout before trip and only took 7 iron-pw-putter. Big mistake 1 hole 240 yards. Really enjoyed the course, ideal for kids to learn. Pro helpful and site also has a driving range and putting green.

A very disappointing round of golf. The course is in very poor condition especially the greens which were bumpy and bare in places. They have obviously not been maintained enough through the recent hot weather. As not regular golfers we did not all have our own clubs so were made to pay £5 to hire an extra set. This would be ok if we were provided with the clubs required for a par 3 course, a wood, 4 iron, 6 iron and putter are somewhat useless. This meant we still had to share and effectively paid £10 (2 sets were needed) to carry around a bag which wouldn't stand up and 10 almost redundant clubs. Avoid.
