Great little course

Love the way 18 holes have been designed into a small space, lots of par 3s but they are not easy!

Mrs Lawson and miss Murphy.

Members very friendly and chatty tee off times adhered to very pleasant course with some demanding holes.
Overall made very welcome and we both enjoyed our round of golf and will be playing again.

This was the first time we played Highcliffe Castle,
And probably the last, from the second we arrived we felt like we’re not really welcome,
On arrival waited ages for a drink, bacon butty nothing special,Looked up and down in the pro shop, we just felt like they didn’t really want us there, paid our money ,played and went home , nothing more to say really
I will say course was fun, ok condition for time of year
Clicky members club !!

I played on the open day. The course is too narrow for my liking and the array of trees demand an almost exquisite drive. However to play on the course it is something like £30 for 18 holes each which is way overpriced for what the course offers.

A pretty course, flat and tight. The greens were in excellent condition.and the course was quiet on a Saturday afternoon.Very friendly people, I was guided to where to sign in by a member who showed me the facilities without me asking! My only negative would be there a couple of holes which cross each other which could prove dangerous if the course was busy and you didnt know where to look. Overall, though, well worth a visit.

Short and tight course which to be honest wont suit a lot of people especially if you are as far off line as I was . Good quality greens fairways, nice club house and a friendly welcome. Unfortunatly I don't think its a pay and play course.

This is a very interesting and surprisingly challenging course. At par 64 you would have imagined it to be a breeze - it isn't - the trees demand straight drives and the longer par 3 holes demand accurate approaches.

Generally the feeling on the course is a pleasant one of successful miniaturisation, the layout makes maximum use of the available land and the practice bunker, for example, is slotted away so as to cause minimum fuss and land use.

The holes cross each other to a degree, which I thought was mildly disconcerting, and I didn't like the sand in the bunkers (although I found rather too many when I played, which could be the reason for my complaint). However for £16 as a member's guest on a Saturday I'll be returning.

There is no pro at the course but there is an excellent bar and pleasant locker room. I got the impression of a traditional, friendly golf club with much to offer the handicap golfer.
