What the club says: Whilst suitable for beginners, the course has some challenging holes, and more experienced players can have some fun here. No-one has ever said it is boring! The abundance of wildlife is an added attraction. The sandy soil is free-draining, and we usually manage to stay open when other courses have to close.
The nine hole Pay & Play Golf Course is laid out through an attractive area of natural wooded heathland. It is quite short at 1525 yards but comprises four par 4's and five par 3's. The green fee covers either 9 or 18 holes with most players choosing to go round twice. We believe it offers very good value for money. Golf buggies, trolleys, and clubs are available to hire.

Hidden gem
This little 9 hole course is hidden away but is quiet and great for beginners or those needing to practice their short game. The course is well maintained.

Beginners nightmare.
I only took up golf about 6 months ago in my mid 60s. Some interesting corridors from some of the tees. Plenty of trees and ditches to lose your balls in. Great course too hone your skills on. Regular player as it's on my doorstep.Bacon sandwich and a coffee wouldn't go amiss.

Eases you in!
A very small but fun course. Good gentle start to this 9 hole, and you'll need to hit your irons straight to get your tee shoes away on the last 3. You can go round for as many times as you want for the green fee. Good greens for such a low-key course.Reviewer Rating

With the green fees at only £10 and the fact it's usually pretty quiet there makes it appealing to players like myself (18 holes is the same price as 9).
I think the course would be enjoyed by players of all levels but players who like to use the driver might be disappointed with only 1 or 2 holes really big enough to use it on.
My biggest criticism would be the bumpy track that leads up to the golf club

Definately recomend it to any beginner in the Christchurch area but then suggest moving on to Ifrod golf centre when you get the basics done. I have NO real intention of going back

It is an ideal course for beginners or if you want to practice your irons in a quiet and very secluded area. Surprisingly the greens have been very good this winter I recommend it.
