great day good weather course in very good fettle very quiet not many golfers but not held up

damp muddy in places but not to cold 12 a very short 3 13 to short as the green is only a wedge

Good course played for the 5th time. A little wet in places and leaves on course made it difficult to find the ball at times.

Very wet and a lot of temp tees in the middle of the fairway.
Greens in good condition.
Would be a nice course if dry and on proper tees.
Recommend the all day breakfast if you're hungry after your 18.

nice course - very few hazards - lots of birdie chances on the back 9. course is almost impossible to play in the late autumn and winter and the course is covered with leaves - can loose your ball even in the middle of the fairway !!

Conditions very poor underfoot.
Leaves not cleared on many holes, making ball location almost impossible.
Lots of muddy tracks.

very nice course leaves where a problem here you could not find your ball on some holes, and thus spoilt the round

having only taken up golf in march this year, i played several rounds at breedon. when you play twiilight it is almost justifiable, however, when paying full price this course is well below standard, poor greens, poor service. I have had a summer of thoroughly being addicted to golf and after playing 20+ courses this is bottom of my ranking.
with some work it could be drastically improved and made into an enjoyable course. the greens need attention first and some of the bunkers would be better with some sand in

I played here on Sunday on a Groupon Offer. Like Oliver Johnson review I fully agree with all the points.
I have played a lot better courses for the money like Ramsdale,Springwater and Oakmere so who in the right mind wants to pay and play here.
Just check around you there are better courses around and I would save the money and not bother going out for a bad day at Golf.
All in All a very disappointing Golf Course with worst Greens I have seen on a Golf Course that want to charge top dollar.
So folks stay away from this Course and find elsewhere.

Well my golfing partner and i took advantage to play this course through a Groupon offer. The course itself is set in the middle of the Derbyshire countryside and is not easy to find and would not attract passing trade. As we are Secretary of Golf society it is always good to assess new courses. The people and staff were quite welcoming and tee to green was in very good condition with the exception of the bunkers. It is really disappointing to see bunkers that are not raked at all although rakes are provided. The greens were obliterated with pitch marks and I cant believe that members and visitors alike do not engage in these principles of golf. The greens themselves were too long, there was no true roll really disappointing. We had a day tickets but could not hire one of the three buggies available. The lunch was excellent and great VFM. The only other issue we had was the greens staff, I have never seen so many grass cutters (pity they did not do the greens) they were about all afternoon (Friday) when the course was extremely busy, we were then held up for a good 10mins whilst they repositioned the flag whilst we were standing on the tee. This course could be a fantastic challenge in golf and could quite easily gain two more stars with a little more TLC!

This has to be one of the most dissapointing golf courses i have ever had the misfortune of playing. The State of the greens was withought doubt the worst i have exprerinced in my 15 years of golf, the fact that they were around the same length as my persian rug was just the start of the problem, pitchmarks yes they were an issue but it was actually more like putting over the side of a pebbleblasted wall with a fair amount of mud covering the surface for good measure. Bunkers, well their were several scattered around that resembled a bunker but the fact they looked like they hadn't been raked for weeks didnt help.
I cannot reccomend against this course enough and quite frankly if i worked their id be embarassed and as for the greenkeepers i can only assume they must be on strike.
Other than that the course was characterless and very unnapealing and i supposedly got it cheap through tee off times at £50 for a two ball.
Over All one to most defrinately be avoided.
