The course is quite open, so it's more of a challenge when windy. Only my second time playing here, and didn't remember any of the holes, as none are particularly outstanding. It was however a good test of golf in the conditions, with only 2 players out of 15 going under handicap. Bunkers had some decent sand in them, but most needed raking. Greens were a reasonable speed, but we found it difficult to see any definition (a few times we were around the edges and didn't know if we were on or off the green). Because of the weather we have had in 2018, fairways looked poor (it's the same at most courses), with big bare patches. There are a fair amount of gorse bushes around the course, which they seem to be using to tighten up some of the holes, and introduce more obstacles. Our 'deal' included breakfast, which honestly was lukewarm at best, and probably the worst we've had at any course, with very meager portions as well as not being hot enough. There seemed to be a great deal of work going on around the clubhouse, which was therefore bigger than I remembered - I wonder what they will do with the extra space.

Not in as good a condition as i have seen it before
There was a few fairways that were a bit bare in places and lots of diverts that players had not replaced, some of the greens need players to repair pitch marks as well.(Round played: Nov 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: 16.1)

Disappointing
Very disappointing condition of fairways even considering the hot summer we have had. I know it's a very 'dry' course but almost all other local clubs are better. Big cracks around some greens, new turf not watered and coming away and almost no grass on fairways. Even Delapre is in better condition overall and I'd never thought I would say that! Greens ran very true at a nice pace but didn't make up for the rest of the course looking very second hand. Poor value for money at the moment. Not the pretty course I used to love. Good course to play
Course was in very good condition. New water feature in front of the short par 3 which will catch out any under hit shots. I will be going back again.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: 24.6)

Course open when lots closed
This course was open when probably it should have been closed, there where people in buggies churning up the very wet course, would play again but would need to be drier(Round played: Mar 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 16)

Best winter greens about
Great day put for £25 inc 2 courses after golf meal, great little 9 hole par 3 course. The only downside is the range price £3 (it's only a warm up, optional tho)(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 76 Handicap: 5.5)
