What the club says: 18 hole course:
Building work began in July 1993 and the course was opened in May 1995 nearly 2 years later. Now more than 20 years later the many trees and gorse that have been planted to complement the existing trees have matured & so helped to give not only a very scenic course but a challenging one for all abilities.
With fantastic drainage due to the sand base the course never uses temporary tees or greens and is host to a well supported winter series from October through to MArch. The challenging course now also boasts a fantastic new water feature between the 9th and 18th holes making not only a great view but also a very challenging last hole.
9 hole Short Course:
Its quality is reflected in the course, twice hosting qualifying events for the British P.G.A. Short Course Championships in 1999 and 2001. It is also regularly used by all the County Elite Squads as a training facility.

Nice course
I played with a friend, I was a bit disappointed that they don’t accept county cards at the weekend. Lovely interesting course my only criticism are the amount of pitch marks on the greens I must have repaired over 12 on one green. Come on people look after your course..!! The other gripe is the lack of signage from tee to tee. The club house is easily one of the best in Northamptonshire. Well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Lovely but difficult
Hard course for a beginner, and even as a member tough to book a round, due to a relaince of society booking and senor member prebooking a month in advance.Professionals excellent and lessons excellent

When play is moving it is a good course to play with lots of hard but fair holes. I would also recommend having something to eat after, which is always tasty.

Great course. Challenging layout. (Full 18)
Played this course as a junior regularly back in the early to mid 2000s. Returned for my first round in approximately 15 years. The course has matured into a very challenging one. The trees have now grown out of their plastic tube supports into thick tall obstacles. The gorse bushes are dense and wide spread. Great ball munchers.
Several lakes have appeared that provide added difficulty on a par 3, and the approaches back to the clubhouse on the 9th and 18th are foreshadowed by a huge pond. Good spectacle for people enjoying the 19th hole when you give a shot a handful of berries up the hills and overcook it.
Typography means you are going down then up on both 9s. Good spread of holes. Multiple par 5s, a few 3s and the rest 4s.
Overall condition of the course was excellent for this time of year. Only a tiny spot of GUR on the 12th green in the back corner. All the tees were well presented and not chewed up. Divots replaced and well cared for by members. Roughs are well kept and not wild. Fairways were well mowed and healthy. The greens were super smooth although they were very hard to read (mostly due to diminishing light) look to be spiked regularly. Challenging multiple level green make for hard putting.
Clubhouse has been heavily extended. Looks to offer alot in the way of hospitality and refreshment. Huge changing area with lockers and great toilet facilities.
Will be looking to play this course more regularly here again.
