Great course if you like a challenge!
The Championship course at Bondhay is not for the faint-hearted, with tight fairways, a plethora of bunkers and barely a flat(ish) green in sight, it's a proper test. One my 21 handicap game failed to pass today, I'm afraid, as I struggled to a meagre 27 points, after being in good form recently!The course was in lovely condition, other than the fact that some of the bunkers needed a bit more sand.(They probably ran out trying to fill them all to a decent depth).
At £20/round Thursday/Friday and £17/round Monday-Wednesday it offers great value too.
All the staff and members we bumped into were friendly and the pint of Bondhay Bitter we had in the clubhouse after went down a treat at a very reasonable £2-70/pint.
All in all a good day on a great, if taxing, course.

The course was in great condition as always. Many trees but you need to drive straight on many holes. Played well until the last two holes and then the water got me on the last as always. Very enjoyable day and the jumbo sausage is recommended in the 19th.

Good course and a real test. First time I've played here and in stunning condition for December. Will return in summer when I think it will be even harder due to faster greens and leaves on trees on the narrow fairways. A great course.

Handicap 20.1 , Score 102 , 29 points.
Second visit this year, and scored identical to February round. The course is very testing with plenty of bunkers and good greens. Holes 9,10,11 a real test with a good finishing hole too. Good food and hospitality, we will be back again next year.

The course was in excellent condition. Probably the best greens I have played on this year, so true, softish and think people were repairing marks. The course is tough in the wind though, forgot how tough it was. Only thing that was worse since I last played there 6 years ago, is the sand in the bunkers, very thin on the ground.

Played the course in mid October on a Society Day. There'd been heavy rain for two days prior to playing. The course was immaculate. The course is long and has some tough holes, but thoroughly enjoyed it. The food before and after the golf was very good. Staff really friendly and helpful.
