What the club says: The course was taken over by the current owners in June 2016 who continue to work hard and make Barlborough Links the best 9 hole course in the area with greens to rival those of more expensive establishments (regular 9+ stimp readings). USGA spec greens mean summer greens are in play all year round with continued investment in drainage to make the course more playable during Winter. Regular rotation of grass tees also assists the aim to stay on grass for as long as possible, only moving to mats when absolutely necessary.
The club affiliated to England Golf in 2022 and can offer WHS membership for £42 (Apr24-Mar25).
A 9 hole par 35 FootGolf course provides an ideal place for young and old to take their first steps into the principles of golf using a football.
Reception houses a small coffee shop within the existing driving range, taking the number of bays available to 11. A small selection of hot/cold drinks and wrapped chocolate are currently available.

Friendly 9 Hole Course & Range
Nicely kept 9 hole course with flat driving range fitted with some launch monitors. Balls and mats on the range are good quality. And the greens on the 9 hole course were excellent for the time of year.Reviewer Rating

Lovely weather
Ground very boggy but then that’s to be expected, greens are fast and getting better after the disease, all in all a pleasant round, I’m sure within the next few weeks once the ground has dried up the course will be back to its best, according to the app I use the 150 markers on some of the holes are as much as 20 yards out.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 45 Handicap: )

Course is ok
The course is actually playing quite well considering how boggy the course is, greens are in such good condition compared to a few years ago and at this time of the year, too many players are still leaving pitch marks especially on the par 3 6th, a good little course for the price. Considering the course conditions I had a good round and my mate Nigel played well also.(Round played: Jan 2018 - Score: 40 Handicap: )

Course is looking good
Played 2 rounds of 9, first 9 not too good but pleased with the second 9, scored 45 and 41, the greens are so much better than ever before, Neil your a genius, I would still like to see the post markers for 100 and 150 mtrs, it would be so much easier to see them, the ones on the floor are not so visible, luckily I have got a rangefinder, no point in practicing and learning your distances if you can't see how far away you are, a big thanks too all really, course is becoming a little gem.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 45 Handicap: )

New Ownership.
This has been my local course since I could first hold a club however I'd never shout about it being my favourite course for a few reasons. However the course is now under new ownership and I couldn't imagine better people for it! They've improved the course no end already and from what they have been promising it's going to just keep getting better. Lovely people too.The only major downside at the minute is the fact there is no clubhouse (due to a fire a few years back).
